NEHU Admission 2025:  The Controller of Examinations of NEHU will start the admission process for UG and PG Courses. Therefore the candidates who are interested in pursuing any degree course must fill the online application form of NEHU. The North-Eastern Hill University is located in Shillong, Meghalaya. It is a central university and it provides a number of courses to the candidates. This University has two campuses. This University was established in 1973. NEHU Admission 2025

On the basis of the entrance examination, the institute provides admissions to the candidates. The officials have not given the exact dates for NEHU Ph.D. Admission on its official website. However, on the basis of the events of the previous year, we are giving a list of tentative dates. The aspirants, who wish to pursue their further studies in NEHU must keep themselves updated about the important dates which are related to admission in North-Eastern Hill University. NEHU Eligibility Criteria

The candidates, before filling the application form, must make sure that they are eligible as per the prescribed criteria. It is very important to go through the instructions before applying for NEHU Shillong Admission 2025 from the official brochure. Not all candidates can take admission in any course offered by the university. The Admission Council lays a few eligibility criteria for respective courses. The aspirants must carefully check whether they fulfill the minimum eligibility conditions for taking admission. Therefore, the applicants must download the official NEHU Prospectus 2025 to get the list of eligibility criteria. However, we have given a list of eligibility criteria below:

For B.Tech Programme- NEHU offers different courses in B.Tech- Electronics Communication Engineering, Energy Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Information Technology. The Eligibility criteria for B.Tech programmes are:

• The applicants must have passed their 12th standard with science stream from any recognized board with an aggregate of 45% in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational Subjects.
• The candidate must have a positive score in JEE Main.

For the candidates who have taken late admission in the 2nd/ 3rd year semester in B.Tech Courses:

B. Tech Electronic Communication Engineering-The applicant must have pursued a diploma in the course of engineering from the following branches:

• ECE
• Medical Engineering
• Instrumentation
• Electrical
• CSE
• Information Technology

One, who wishes to take late admission in the courses of B.Tech Electronic Communication Engineering must have secured a minimum of 60% in 10th as well as in the 12th standard.

• B. Tech Energy Engineering-The candidates, who aspire to take late admission in the course of Energy Engineering must have done a 3-year diploma in any relevant branch of the Energy Engineering with a minimum of 60% in 10th standard as well as 12th standard.
• B. Tech Biomedical Engineering-In order to take late admission in the course of Biomedical Engineering, the candidate must have pursued a 3-year diploma from any appropriate branch related to Biomedical Engineering with a minimum of 60% from a recognized institute in 10th standard as well as 12th standard.
• B. Tech Information Technology-For taking late admission in the course of IT must have done a 3-year diploma in the relevant branch of IT from a recognized institute with a minimum of 60% in 10th as well as in 12th standard or from any recognized university.
• B.A.LL.B (Hons.)- The applicant must have passed his/ her Higher Secondary Examination with an aggregate of 50% from a recognized board. It is to be noted that if the applicant has registered himself/ herself for the course of B.A.LL.B (Hons.), then he/ she will not be allowed to chose any other course.
• Bachelors of Architecture (B.Arch)-One, who wish to get admission in the course of Bachelors in Architecture must have secured a minimum of 50% in the 10th as well as 12th standard.

OR

One must have pursued 3 years of Diploma in Architecture/ Civil Engineering with a minimum of 50%.

• Note: Candidate, who is pursuing any of the above qualifications must have a valid score of National Aptitude Test of Architecture (NATA), held by the council of Architecture.
• MBA (Agribusiness & Food Technology)- One, who wishes to take admission in MBA must have got 55% aggregate marks (for general category)and 50% (for SC/ST) in B.Sc. or in any graduate in agriculture science, animal husbandry, technology then only they will be considered for admissions. Eligible candidates also have to appear in any of the MAT tests in May, September, December 2019 and February 2025. and eligible candidates have to fill the application forms enclosing their MAT scores.
• Masters of Computer Applications (MCA)- To get admissions in MCA the eligibility criteria for the candidates that they must have passed their Bachelors degree by getting minimum 50% aggregate marks (for general category) and 45% aggregate marks (for SC/ST) from any recognized university or institute and also passed in the mathematics exam in the 12th class or graduation level.
• Masters of Tourism and Travel Management-Candidate, who wants to take admission in the course of Masters of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM) must have done his/ her 3 yrs bachelors degree course after 12th class with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (for general category) and 45% aggregate marks (for SC/ST) will be considered for the admissions and one who has appeared for their final year exams and they are expecting their results by the end of July 2025, they can also apply. The candidate must have a positive score in MAT.
• M.Tech in Information Technology-Candidate wishing to get admission in the course of M.Tech in IT must have done B.E./B.tech. in EE/ECE or M.Sc. in electronics and have got a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. One, who have qualified GATE will be given preference.
• M.Tech in Electronic Communication Engineering-Applicant willing to take admission in the course of M.Tech in Electronic Communication Engineering must have qualified B.E/ B.Tech in ECE/EE or M.Sc. in electronics and secured a minimum of 60%.
• Master of Science in Horticulture {M.Sc. (Hort.)}-In order to get admission in the course of M.Sc. (Hort.) must have passed B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.Sc.(Agri) with a minimum of 55%.

NEHU Admission Form 2025

The Admission Council offers NEHU MA Admission on the basis of the entrance examination. Also, for some Undergraduate Degree courses, the marks of the applicants in the previous qualifying exam is taken into account. The candidates, who wish to take admission to the university will have to fill and submit the NEHU Application Form 2025. The application form will be released in an online mode. Before proceeding to fill the application form, the candidate must make sure that they are eligible enough as per the prescribed criteria.

The whole procedure of the submission of the Application Form of NEHU will be involving the step of the payment of the application fee. The candidate has to keep the fee payment slip along with him/ her for future purposes.

NEHU Application Fee

After filling the form for NEHU Online Admission 2025 the applicants must pay the fees applicable for each course. Without the payment of the application fees, the online application form is considered invalid. Therefore, the procedure of the fee payment is mandatory for all the applicants. Candidates can pay the application fees via an Online mode of payment like Net Banking/Debit/Credit/VISA cards. Otherwise, they can also choose for the Demand Draft which is an offline mode of fees payment.

NEHU Admit Card 2025

The Controller of Examinations of North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong, will release the Hall Ticket for various examinations. The admit card of NEHU will get released on the official website of the official website. The applicants, who have successfully submitted the application form can download the admit card. It will be mandatory for the candidates to the applicant to bring the hall ticket to the examination centre. If the applicant does not carry the admit card, then he/ she will not be able to sit in the examination. There will be many important details in the NEHU Admit Card 2025.

The candidate has to make sure that the details on the hall ticket are correct. In case of any discrepancy, the candidates must immediately approach the examination authorities. The students must also carry a valid identity proof along with the admit card on the day of the examination.

NEHU Semester Exam 2025

The students who are already enrolled in some course must sit for the semester/annual exams. The Controller of Examinations will release the NEHU Exam Routine 2025 on its official website. Therefore, the students must visit the official website to get the latest updates on Time Table of semester exams. The semester exams are important to check the progress of the students. Also, it helps the students to obtain the degree/certificate in the end of the course/program. Therefore, it is mandatory for the candidates to appear in the semester exams.

They must secure a minimum passing percentage in their respective papers in order to get the final degree of the course. The NEHU follows the semester mode of course curriculum. Therefore, the students have to give the theory exam at the end of every six months.

NEHU Result 2025

The university will release its result on its official website. The NEHU Admission List will consist of the names of the eligible candidates who can sit for the counselling round. The merit list is prepared by the Admission Council of respective Departments. Therefore, the students must check their names in the merit list and go further for the counselling process.  After the authority has released the NEHU Result 2025 it will conduct the interview. In order to check the result, the applicants will have to provide their required credentials in the login section. The result shall be available in a PDF Format.
