NEET 2018 Result has been announced!! NEET will be conducted on 6th May 2018 for the academic session 2018-19. Those who fit the eligibility criteria will be able to take the exam and the online applications of the same will be available in the first week of January. Candidates must go through the official brochure of NEET 2018, the link of the same will be provided here as soon as it is released.

Candidates who wish to pursue a career in medicine and dentistry can take the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test also known as NEET. It is a single common entrance exam that students can take after completing their class 12th for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered in various colleges across India. NEET is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) where every year nearly 12 Lakh candidates take the exam, competing for around 56,000 Seats in MBBS and dental courses.

NEET Results 2018

After the students have taken the exam, the Board has announced the results of NEET 2018 online on 4th June 2018. The result will be displayed in the form of a scorecard where an All India Rank will be given to the candidate. The Scorecard displays information like candidate’s name, marks secured in NEET 2017, percentile rank, AIR, Category, Date of Birth (DOB), NEET Cut off marks for 15% all India quota seats and NEET Status. NEET Results 2018 Declaration Date Updates

CBSE has released the NEET UG 2018 Statistics related to number of students registered, appeared and qualified state-wise. Cutoff percentile, qualifying criteria, and percentage of candidates qualified has been also released. List of top 50 rank holders are given. NEET UG 2018 Result has been declared by CBSE on 4th June 2018 at 12:20 PM. To check and download the NEET UG Result 2018 – visit the “steps to download” section given below. 

Anil Swarup, the present secretary of HRD Ministry, Govt. of India has confirmed that CBSE, the official examination conducting authority of NEET UG 2018, is going to declare the NEET UG 2018 Result on 4th June 2018 instead of 5th June 2018. Link to check and download the NEET UG 2018 Result will be provided here once it is available. Candidates who took the NEET UG 2018 Exam in offline mode need to enter the valid roll number and date of birth to access their result. 

The NEET entrance exam will be held in pen & paper mode on 6th May 2018. After one month of the entrance test, the result will be declared. The result will be announced on 4th June 2018 (announced). The NEET UG 2018 rank letter will be released tentatively in the second week of June 2018. The counselling procedure will be started after the result declaration. Steps To Check The NEET Results 2018

  2. Enter the registration ID and Password and then submit it after verifying the entered details
  3. CBSE NEET 2018 Result will be displayed on the screen
  4. Download and take a printout of the CBSE NEET Score Card 2018.

Highlights of NEET 2018 Result

The following points reflect the highlights of NEET Results 2018. Candidates should read below mentioned points to get a better idea of NEET Results 2018.

  • NEET Score Card is available only in the online mode.
  • Candidates are required to enter NEET 2017 Roll Number and Password to check the NEET Result.
  • They will be allotted ranks on the basis of their marks obtained in NEET.
  • NEET Result is applicable for admissions to all medical colleges of India except for AIIMS and JIPMER that conduct their own medical entrance exams.

NEET UG 2018 Merit List

The NEET UG merit list 2018 will be prepared in percentile determined on the basis of highest marks secured by the candidates in the NEET Exam. The merit list for 15% All India Quota will be prepared by Central Board of Education (CBSE) board. Candidates will get admission in colleges or universities as per their position in the merit list. The rank list will be published through online mode.

NEET 2018 Merit List Tie-Breaking Criteria

In order to prepare the merit list, the authority shall use the tie-breaking method. In case candidates score equal marks in the NEET Examination, tie-breaking method will be considered. The tie-breaking mention of NEET 2018 exam is mentioned below :

  • Students obtaining higher marks in Biology subject in NEET 2018 exam.
  • Students securing higher marks in Chemistry subject in NEET 2018 exam.
  • Candidates with less number of wrong question attempts in all subjects of NEET exam.
  • After applying all the above methods of tie breaking the tie remain, students older in age will be considered.

NEET UG 2018 Qualifying Marks

NEET Counselling 2018

After the declaration of NEET UG Results 2018. Candidates have to participate in the counselling process followed by the admission in the respective allotted colleges. Counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats (MBBS/BDS) will be regulated by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). NEET 2018 Counselling registration (All India Quota) will be started from 12th June 2018. Candidates have to participate in the counselling process conducted by their state medical admission authorities.

Candidates can check and calculate their score after the Board has released the NEET 2018 official Answer Key. NEET Rank is the main factor while determining NEET Merit List. The marks secured by candidates out of 720 will determine their actual ranks in the final merit list of NEET.
