NEET PG Exam Pattern 2025

The NEET Post Graduate Exam Pattern although remains the same, however, if some changes would be introduced then the same are mentioned in the information brochure. Candidates have to visit the NBE (National Board of Examination) official website to check it out. The information brochure link is provided in this article as well. Detailed NBE NEET Post Graduate Exam Pattern

The exam pattern basically provides insight into the pattern which is followed while preparing the question paper. Thus, this information shall help you in the preparation process. The details of NEET PG Exam Pattern 2025 is as follows:

Date of the Examination

The National Board of Examination (NBE) is responsible for announcing the exam date. It is mentioned in the information brochure which the authorities release. The entrance exam further takes place in a single session. In addition, the exam date and time are there on your admit card as well. Further, ensure that you reach the exam centre before the reporting time. The students appearing at the centre after the given time are not allowed to sit for the exam.

Mode of NEET PG 2025 Exam

The entrance exam is conducted in online mode and thus it is a computer-based test. In addition, a computer is allotted to students. Wherein, the students have to start the test when the invigilator says so. Further, do read the instructions carefully appearing on the screen. Then click on the “Continue” button and start attempting the questions.

Duration of Examination

The students get 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete the online test. In addition, the timer is present at the corner of the screen. If the students do not submit the test on time, then it automatically gets closed when the time is up. Hence, keep a watch on the timer as well.

No. of Sections & Marks Distribution

The question paper is divided into three sections in the paper- Part A, Part B, and Part C. Further, Part A has 50 questions, Part B – 100, and Part C shall have 150 questions. Thus, there are 200 questions in total. The questions are Multiple Choice Types.

The medium of Question Paper

The question paper or the questions shall be in English language only. Note that the test is not conducted in any other language. However, if the authorities introduce any changes, then those shall be updated here.

Marking Scheme

The NEET PG 2025 Paper is of 800 marks in total now as the no. of questions is decreased. Thus, considering the no. of questions, 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer. Moreover, as negative marking is applicable, for each incorrect answer, 1 mark gets deducted. No marks is deducted for unanswered questions.

Guidelines to be followed before Attempting Question Paper

There are a few things that the students should take care of before appearing for the test. Thus, the things to be kept in mind are as follows:

  • The Applicants are required to accept a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) before starting the Examination.
