The All India Rank (AIR) is the rank provided for the purpose of All India Quota (AIQ) seat allotment which is 15%, after excluding candidates from Andhra Pradesh (AP) and J&K. As per directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court the candidates from AP and J&K are not eligible to participate for 15 % All India Quota Counselling. Online medical counselling will start with registration, choice filling and locking. After receiving the applications and choice filling, MCC will publish an indicative seat allotment result on the official website. All the NEET Under Graduate (MBBS/BDS) aspirant candidates are hereby informed that counseling for All India Quota seats/ Institutional Quota/ Domicile (internal candidates) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), (wards of ESIC insured persons) seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune for the Under graduate session 2018-19 will be conducted by Medical Counseling Committee/ Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

For participation in Institutional Quota (internal) seats of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi), internal quota seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation and Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, candidates are required to register by visiting the registration form section given below
Candidates of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana would be eligible for participation against the 15% All India Quota seats.

AIQ UG Medical counselling Latest Updates 2018

As per the notification released on 4th July 2018, Candidates who wish to resign from the UG seat allotted/Joined through Online 15% AIQ/Deemed/ Central Universities & ESIC UG 2018 Round-1 are advised to obtain online generated resignation/seat surrender receipt from allotted college (generated through online counselling software). Facility for online reporting of resignation is available on your allotted college and will be available till 03:00 PM of 05.07.2018. Please report all resignations online only through Seat Surrender ‘ Resignation (Surrender) of Allotted seat if the candidate is not satisfied’ of ‘Allotted Institute Incharge (Admin)’ module of Allotted College for MCC record. All Participating Institutions are requested to report online all those Resignation (Surrender) of Allotted seats, in respect of candidates who were relieved offline, if any. Eligibility required to apply for AIQ seats(15%)

Candidates declared Qualified/Eligible for All India Quota Undergraduate Seats (MBBS/BDS) only will be eligible for online allotment process for All India Quota Seats, which is conducted by the MCC. For State Quota, Private medical and dental college seats, the candidates are required to contact the appropriate State Government/ Admission Authority & Directorate of Medical Education. The eligibility criteria to apply for AIQ are as follows

  • It is necessary for an applicants to secure a minimum marks of 50th Percentile in NEET UG 2018 Exam.
  • A candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually. They also need to secure a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology at the qualifying exam.

NEET 2018 Online registration counselling

Registration for NEET 2018 in AIQ (15%) Counselling for admission to MBBS programme started online on 13th June 2018. Candidates who are willing to participate need to register online by registering themselves. Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before going to apply. Choice locking and filling

  • After successfully completing the online registration, candidates have to fill in choice of Institutions/colleges/courses in order of your preference. Once choice has been made, it can be modified before locking it. During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a print of your submitted choices. If the candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked at 5.00PM of the last date of choice locking
  • If you don’t register and fill in choices during the registration period, you will not be allotted any seat. Please also note that registration will be available once before allotment of round-1 and once before starting of round-2.

NEET 2018 Merit List for Counselling under 15% All India Quota

The AIQ merit list shall contain names of the qualified candidate’s eligible admission into the participating institute. This list is prepared based on the scores obtained by the individual candidate in the CBSE NEET 2018. The length of the merit list will be as long as the number of seats that are available for allotting the applicants for MBBS courses under 15% All India Quota. A waiting list, which equals to four times of the merit list will also be prepared if it’s required by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Merit List for seats other than 15% All India Quota

CBSE will allot the All India Rank (AIR) will be given by CBSE. But, the result will be given to the DGHS, MoHFW, GOI. They will be giving it out to the Admitting Authorities. Admitting Authorities will then invite applications for Counselling and merit list will be drawn based on All India Rank by the Admitting Authorities subject to their individual rules.

NEET 2018 Counselling Letter

Get rank letter to participate in counselling – The candidates who will be qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank in NEET UG conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are only eligible for MCC Counselling. The procedure of online allotment

The procedure of online seat allotment for all India quota is provided below. Candidates who are willing to apply under this 15% quota need to follow the below given steps:

  1. Main Counseling Registration

NEET 2018 Counselling process

After choice filling and locking of colleges by the registered candidates, MCC will prepare and publish the list of the candidates along the name of the colleges allotted to them. This marks the first round of counselling. The length of the merit list will depend on the number of seats available in the participating medical colleges. Candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotment need to report at the respective colleges.

Procedure to participate in the 2nd round of counselling

Procedure to participate in the 2nd round of counselling Fresh set of seats gets added to the system (seats available during round-1), if any, which is due to latest approvals of MCI. Further, the conversion of seats is also carried out during the round-2 of seat allotment and accordingly, the candidates are required to be shown all choices which are against vacant, newly added seats, virtual vacancies which are likely to get vacated during up-gradation and also during the conversion of seats as per the following algorithm:

  • ST (PH) -> ST
  • SC (PH) -> SC
  • UR (PH) -> UR
  • OBC (PH) -> OBC
  • ST -> SC
  • SC-> UR

The choices of candidates, who have submitted option for participation in the second round during the reporting period for the first round seat allotment, would be initialized (the choices remaining after allotment, submitted before round-1 will stand cancelled), and candidates are required to submit fresh choices online during the time the window is open for the same. Choices which were filled during 1st round of choice filling will be null & void.

Mock Counselling (result)/ indicative seat allotment

During Mock Counselling, choices submitted by the candidates will be processed during the counselling period of round-1, as mentioned in Counseling Schedule and indicative seat that is likely to be available at that point of time would be displayed. This helps the candidate to refine the selection of choices in a more effective and efficient manner. Indicative allotment of the seat (Mock allotment), will be shown on notified dates.

All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling and Seat allotment

Candidates allotted seats will be required to join the allotted college/course within the stipulated time which is mentioned in counselling schedule. However, candidates are advised to join as early as possible and not to wait for last day of joining. Therefore, candidates are advised to contact allotted college immediately after the declaration of result of counselling allotment process. If candidate fails to join the allotted Medical/Dental College within the stipulated time, then the allotted seat will be cancelled and candidate will not be eligible for further Round(s) of the online Counseling. Please note that under no circumstances date of joining can be extended by the MCC.

Original documents (along with attested photocopies of documents) for admission to undergraduate medical courses for admission to 15% of total seats on all-India basis required at the time of joining in allotted Medical / Dental College are as mentioned below.

  1. (i) Admit Cards of Exam issued by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
  2. (ii) Result/ Rank letter issued by CBSE.
  3. (iii) Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric Certificate does not bear the same)
  4. (iv) Class 10th Certificate
  5. (v) Class 10+2 Certificate
  6. (vi) Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
  7. (vii) Eight (8) Passport size photograph same as affixed on the application
  8. form.
  9. (viii) Provisional allotment letter generated on-line.
  10. (ix) Proof of identity.
  11. (x) Caste certificate (if applicable)
