All you Need to Know about Courses Offered by NCWEB

The Non-Collegiate Women’s Educational Board offers two undergraduate courses. Both of the courses of 3-year duration. The syllabus of the post-graduate courses can be downloaded from the official website of the respective department of the subject. All the details of the undergraduate courses are mentioned below:

B.A. Program:

The admission in the course of B.A. Programme shall be provided on the basis of the marks one secures in the qualifying examination. The duration of this course will be 3-years. The subjects, which will be provided in the course of B.A. Programme are:

  • Hindi A (for the candidates who have studied Hindi till 12th standard)
  • Hindi B (for the candidates who have studied Hindi till 10th standard)
  • English A (for the candidates who have studied English till 12th standard)
  • English B (for the candidates who have studied English till 8th/ 10th standard)
  • Political Science (for the candidates who have studied Political Science in her 12th standard)
  • History/ Economics (this will be an optional subject for the candidates depending upon the subjects they have studied in their 12th standard).
  • The candidates, who study Hindi in 1st year will be replaced with the subject of Language Literature and Culture in the 2nd year. In the 3rd year, Hindi will resume back as their main subject.
  • One, who has studied English in 1st, as well as the 2nd year, will not be getting the same in the 3rd year. Instead, it will get replaced by the subject of Banking & Insurance/ Tourism.
  • The subject of Banking & Insurance will be provided to the candidates who are studying Economics in their graduation. One, studying History will have to study Tourism in her 3rd year.
  • Mathematics (for the candidates who have studied Mathematics in her 12th standard)
  • Sanskrit (for the candidates who have studied Sanskrit till 12th standard)

Importance of DU NCWEB Syllabus 2020

Because Syllabus is an essential part of any course. Therefore, before taking admission into any particular course, the candidates must carefully go through the syllabus of that particular course. It is only after the candidates feel comfortable with the topics in the course, that they must further apply for that course. The syllabus is very pertinent to any exam. Therefore, the students must download the NCWEB Syllabus PDF 2020 from the official website. Also, the candidates must prepare for the exam according to the topics given in the syllabus. If they want to score good marks in the written examination, then they must strictly adhere to the syllabus prescribed for any course.

NCWEB Exam 2020

The students who have taken admission in any course in the NCWEB must know the details of the course. Therefore, the students must check the official website of the NCWEB DU. However, the classes of the NCWEB candidates take place only once in a week. Usually, the classes for all courses take place on Sunday. After the completion of the course, the Examination Authority conducts a written exam at the end of each academic year. Moreover, the exam of NCWEB students takes place along with the Regular exam of that particular course. Therefore, the candidates must download the date sheet and check the venue and dates of their exam.

NCWEB Result 2020

After the completion of the theory exams in the month of December, the Examination Branch declares the NCWEB Result Online on its official website. Therefore, all the students who have given the exam can download the marks sheet from the official website. However, the students can also download the result from the link given in the latest updates section. If a candidate wishes to score good marks in the examination then she must prepare according to the syllabus.

      Getting books from the college itself depends from college to college but if the books are available in the college only, then they will not be for free. In some colleges, the publishers themselves come and distribute the books but in the other colleges, you will have to buy the same from the shops. You can also get the books or its study material from Delhi University itself.
