MP MBBS Admission 2018: Directorate of Medical Education, Madhya Pradesh conduct the online counselling for the students who want get enrolled for admission to undergraduate Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme in the medical college of the state Madhya Pradesh. The authority does not conduct its own entrance examination. It conducts online counselling based on NEET rank and score. Aspirants have to qualify the NEET 2018 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in order to participate in the counselling procedure.

The official counselling body of Madhya Pradesh (MP) is responsible to conduct counselling for 85% state quota seats only. However, remaining 15% of the seats will be filled via central medical counselling committee.

MP MBBS 2018 Eligibility Criteria
The admission into MBBS programme to the participating college will be granted only if the applicant possesses the below-mentioned eligibility criteria. However, the interested candidate also has to fill up the application form to participate in the counselling and admission procedure. MP MBBS 2018 Registration Form

Correction in application form
The Applicants can make changes in the application form by clicking on the “previous” button. But once the application form is submitted, then changes in any field in the application form cannot be made.
MP MBBS 2018 Merit List
The Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh prepares and releases the Merit List for admission to undergraduate MBBS programme in the medical Institution of state Madhya Pradesh. Counselling is conducted based on the rank obtained in the merit list. MP MBBS Admission 2018 Merit List is expected to be published in the 3rd week of July 2018. Merit list is prepared considering various factors such as the number of candidates applied for admission, NEET score and seat intake. Merit List contains the names of the candidates who are eligible for the admission.
Choice filling and locking
Those candidates whose name appear in the merit list must select the colleges carefully and make a list according to their preference. They must choose, save and lock the list online in the last week of July 2018 by visiting the official website. The choice of college once filled and locked by the applicants will be considered as final, then they cannot make any changes/edit in the preference of colleges later on.
MP MBBS 2018 Counselling
Candidates whose name appear in the merit list, they need to report at the counselling venue for document verification. The date, time and venue for the document verification will be notified to the shortlisted candidates via email. They need to appear in person along with the following set of the document within schedule date and time.

- Allotment letter
- Class 10+2 marks sheet for verification of marks.
- Mark sheet of class 10.
- Age Proof (Birth Certificate/ Class 10 admit card).

- Medical certificate (from registered Allopathic Medical Practitioner).

MP MBBS 2018 Seat Allotment
The applicants will be allotted seats based on the merit list and choice of colleges made by them. Generally, two rounds of counselling take place. A “mop-up” round is conducted if the seat remains vacant. Candidates must check the seat allotment list online to find out whether their name appears in the list. Applicants must report to the college allotted to him/her along with the necessary documents. They also have to pay the academic fee to confirm their seats.
Seat Reservation in MP MBBS Admission Process
The government of state Madhya pradesh reserves a certain percentage of the total seats for the candidates belonging to reserved categories in all the participating Colleges. Applicants must choose their category from the drop-down list while filling up the online application form. Reserved category here indicates the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste(SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC) etc.
Students claiming reservation are required to produce valid supporting documents at the time of counselling in order to avail the benefit of reserved seats, failing which the category claimed will not be granted.
