JKCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria
To appear for the CET Jammu & Kashmir (Engineering) 2019 Candidate must make sure they follow through the eligibility criteria desired by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination. If any kind of wrong or false information is provided, application of the particular aspirant would be cancelled. Students must go through each criterion thoroughly to avoid any kind of error. Only the candidates who fulfil the requirements of eligibility as prescribed by the BOPEE will be considered for admission. Following are the details of the eligibility criteria that are required to be fulfilled.
Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian Citizen.
State Eligibility: Candidate should be the permanent resident of J&K.
Age: The minimum age limit should be 17 years or more as on 31st December 2019.
Qualification Criteria: Candidates should pass 12th or its equivalent exam from any recognized board/university. Appearing Candidates can also apply for JKCET.
Minimum Marks: Candidates should have obtained the minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of reserved category) in the qualifying exam.
Subjects: Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as their primary subjects.
JKCET 2019 Application Form
Candidates aspiring for the admission in colleges in Jammu and Kashmir region would be taking JKCET examination. For which candidates are required to register and submit the JKCET Application forms. Application forms JKCET will be available over the official website (jkbopee.gov.in). The JKCET 2019 application form has been released on 1st February 2019. The candidate would be required to provide their personal details, Qualification certifications, choice of exam centers, course applied, scanned files of candidates’ photograph and candidates’ signature. Application form would be considered complete once the payment of JKCET examination is done by the student.
Application Procedure for JKCET 2019
It is advised to the candidate to follow through the below process of registration for the JKCET examination 2019. Candidate must provide their legal Emai ID and phone number for the registration purpose. All the scanned documents in accordance with the specification provided should be prepared before starting to fill the JKCET applications. Following are the steps to be followed while filing the JKCET 2019 application form.
- The e-brochure for information will be issued by the authority for the convenience of the candidates.
- Access the link provided read all the important instructions before advancing to registration.
- Check the disclaimer and advance to the link for registration.
- Details like Name, Gender, DOB, Category, Nationality, Email, Phone number, etc. are supposed to be filled and submit.
- Confirmation email and SMS is generated for successful submission. Login ID and password must be secured.
- After login, edit the scanned documents like the photograph, signature, caste certificate, medical certificate, left-hand thumb impression, Photo ID proof (permanent address proof).
Application Fee for JKCET 2019 Exam
Candidates would be required to pay the JKCET examination fees for the successful submission of JKCET Application form. The fees would be paid through the portal of JKCET 2019. Methods of fee payment involve payment through credit card/ debit card/ internet banking. An amount of Rs 1200 has to be paid as the JKCET 2019 exam fees by all the candidates (no discounts for the reserved category). The last date for fees submission is suspected to be in the month of February 2019.
JKCET 2019 Exam Pattern
Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test is organized in offline mode only. Exam pattern for the entrance exam is detailed below. Candidates are advised to go through the pattern carefully to prepare well for the examination.
- Mode of Exam: The examination will be conducted through offline mode only.
- Duration of Exam: 3 hours will be allotted for the complete exam.
- Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer will be awarded.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Exam Centre: centers located in Srinagar and Jammu only.
- Questions: 60 questions will be asked from each subject.

JKCET 2019 Syllabus
The syllabus of JKCET 2019 will be including the syllabus from the 11th and 12th class. The contents of the syllabus would be from the subject’s physics, chemistry, and mathematics. JKCET 2019 Admit Card
An Admit card is a very important document from the examination point of view. The JKCET Admit card will be treated as the entry pass as well as the identification proof for the exam appearance. The JKCET 2019 Admit Card is available for download from official website jkbopee.gov.in from 13th April 2019. The candidate would be required to log in the web portal with Application Number and Date of Birth for download. Keeping two or three copies of the JKCET admit card is advised to the candidate. The candidate would be required to present the JKCET 2019 Admit Card when asked at the center of the exam, at the entry in the center, for marking attendance for examination, and as a mode of identification. Candidate should check the details mentioned on Admit Card and affix the candidate’s photograph and self-attest it.
JKCET 2019 Answer key
The JKCET 2019 answer key has been released on the official website. However, candidates can download the same by using the link available on this page. The candidates when applying for rechecking or have any objection regarding the answer key should provide a written representation which must be supported by proof documents in the prescribed format. Candidates have to make payment of Rs. 1000 at POS terminal at J&K BOPEE Srinagar/ Jammu within 3 working days.
JKCET 2019 Result Declaration
The JKCET Result 2019 has been released in online mode. To check their results candidates should visit the website after the confirmation of the date for JKCET 2019 result. The result and merit list has been released on 17th May 2019. The JKCET 2019 result has been made available in both the offices on the BOPEE at Jammu and the office at Srinagar.
The merit list for each course has been prepared on the basis of the entrance test result of the candidates participating. The merit list has been prepared by the JKBOPEE only. It is necessary for the candidates to obtain at least the minimum qualifying marks to be qualified.
JKCET 2019 Counseling
The selection process will be according to the course preference & Institution indicated by candidates in the counseling form in order of merit secured in the CET. Candidates will be provided with the opportunity to select courses and college at the time of attending the counseling. Candidates should be present at the JKCET 2019 counseling venue with the said documents. The final selection of the candidates in all the categories will depend upon the production of all the relevant certificates in original by the candidates and the verification of the same by BOPEE/College/University.
