JIPMER Exam Pattern 2019 – In Details

JIPMER Exam 2019

JIPMER 2019 Exam will be conducted on 2nd June 2019. Admit Card will be issued only to those candidates whose application form has been successfully submitted by the candidates.

Mode of the Examination

The JIPMER Entrance Examination will be conducted online (Computer Based Test). In the computer-based test, candidates will be allotted with a computer, where they have to enter their roll number to proceed the test.

Mode of Language

The Exam will be conducted in English only. Questions and language options will be available in English.

Time Duration of the Examination

The time duration of the examination is 2 Hours and 30 Minutes. The Exam can be either conducted in a single shift or in double shifts.

  • Morning Session – 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
  • Afternoon Session- 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm

Number of Shifts/Sessions

The Exact number of Shifts/Timings will be announced on the official website, depending on the number of seats or candidates applied for the examination.

Location of the Examination Centres

The Exam is conducted in over 120 cities all over India. The details about the examination center will be printed on the Admit Card of the JIPMER.

Total Number of Marks and Questions

A total of 200 Questions will be asked in the examination. The Total Marks of the Examination Paper is 800 Marks.

Marking Scheme of the Examination

For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded. For every wrong answer, -1 mark will be awarded.

Marking Distribution of the Question

  • The Exam Paper is divided into five sections- Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Comprehension, and Logical and Quantitive Reasoning.
  • The Physics, Chemistry, and Biology Section comprise of 60 Questions.
  • The English Language and Comprehension and the Logical and Quantitative Reasoning comprise of 10 questions each.
