JAC Delhi 2018 provides with an opportunity to take admissions in an undergraduate engineering and architectural courses. Joint Admission Counselling base their seat allotment procedure on the score secured by the candidates in their JEE Main 2018 exam. JAC (Delhi) provides admission to the colleges based in NCT and Delhi Region. JAC Delhi Counselling will take place in six rounds, the final Spot Round will only be held if there are vacant seats left. For Spot Round, a new registration will be required. To participate in the Delhi JAC counselling procedure candidate should have first paid the registration cum counselling fee. After the payment of the fee candidate should complete the registration process and fill and lock choices.

CUT -OFF Round 1

JAC Delhi Seat Allotment Procedure

  • Seats will be allotted in the order of merit and the choices submitted by the candidates will be processed centrally. The allotment result will be available on the official website.
  • In counselling, information by the candidates during online registration will be processed centrally and institute wise cut-off of the seat allotment results will be available on the JAC official website.
  • After the payment of the registration fee, aspirants will have to visit the registration portal. The candidates have to enter their Roll Number of JEE, Date of Birth, Nationality, and result status of Class 10+2.
  • Log in to the JAC Delhi Account.
  • The next step is Choice Filling. Candidates have to fill the preferred choices of branch and institutes.
  • Choice Locking and Printing of locked choices: here the choices are locked automatically once the date is over.
  • Seat allotment for BE/B Tech seats will begin once the online choice filling round concludes. The seat allotment will be based on JEE Main All India Merit Rank in Paper besides other parameters.
  • After the seat allotment result is out, the candidates will have to report to the specific colleges in the given period of time. The candidates who do not take admission in the provisionally allocated branch will not be considered for the other rounds for counselling except for spot round.
  • An online provisional Admission letter will be generated in the candidate’s login account who get an allotment in the following round. Candidates must get a print out of this letter.
  • All the candidates getting an allotment in counselling rounds will have to pay the admission fee and report to the allotted university for the verification of document along with fee payment receipt, as per the counselling schedule.

Payment of Initial Admission fee

Candidates need to pay an initial admission fee of Rs. 75000/- after an allotment of seat. The payment can be made either online or through SBI e-challan at any SBI Branch.

Seat Upgradation in JAC Delhi 2018 Counselling

  • When there are vacant seats, candidates will be upgraded according to their merit and preferences selected during choice filling.
  • Allocated candidates who get upgraded in the subsequent round will not have to report in the upgraded institute.
  • Candidates who will remain up till the completion of the third round will be considered for up gradation.
  • In case the candidates are happy with the seat allotted and do not wish to be upgraded in the subsequent rounds, then they must request JAC authorities in writing to freeze the allotted seats on the day of admission/allotment of the branch.

Spot Round:

The Spot Round will be conducted only on the availability of the seats after the seat allotment under all the six Counselling rounds. The list of upgraded candidates will also be displayed before the Spot Round. The tentative date for the display of available vacancies will be 23rd July 2018 and the registration for the Spot Round will commence from 24th-25th July 2018.

Eligibility for the Spot Round

  1. Candidates should not take admissions until the last round.
  2. Candidates who were not selected in the previous rounds will be eligible for admission.
  3. Candidates who have surrendered their seats after admission before the last date of withdrawal will be eligible for the spot round.
  4. Registered candidates who were canceled for some reason in the previous rounds will be eligible for the counselling.
