IGNOU Bachelor Programme 2019: IGNOU offers admission to various Graduate, Postgraduate, Diploma, and Certificate courses. The Admission to IGNOU Bachelor’s Programme is conducted twice a year in the January and July Cycles of Admission. Candidates applying for the various Bachelor programmes offered by the University must make sure of the course which they want to pursue from the University. The Applications for July 2019 session are available and the last date for the submission of the form was 31st August 2019. It is important that the candidates must go fill up the form and submit it before the due date. It is advised to go through the Information Brochure very carefully so as to avoid any form of error while filling up the form. How to Apply for IGNOU Bachelor Courses
The Application for IGNOU 2019 Bachelor Programme can be done in both Online and Offline modes. The Admission to the programme is direct and no merit is considered for admission. Candidates will have to pay the Course fee and Valid documentary proof of meeting the eligibility criteria during admission.
Online Application: In the online mode, the application form has to be filled online at the IGNOU Admission Portal and the course fee has to be paid at the online payment gateway.
Offline Application: In the offline mode, the application form has to be downloaded and printed or collected from the regional centres. The course fee has to be paid through a Demand Draft which must be enclosed with the filled in IGNOU 2019 Application form while submission.

Bachelor of Arts
The BA programme is offered in two streams:
- Non-formal: The non-formal stream is for those students who have not passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination. They have to pass Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme of IGNOU to qualify for admission to B.A.
- Formal: The Formal stream of admission is for students who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination.
Eligibility: 10+2 or its equivalent or Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP) of IGNOU
Medium of Instruction: English & Hindi
Duration: Minimum 3 years and Maximum 6 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions.
Fee Structure: Rs. 7,200/- for full programme to be paid year wise @Rs. 2,400/- per year.
BA (Major)
If there is a particular discipline which you wish to study in depth or want to pursue further studies in, you can opt for BA (Major) Degree. IGNOU offers BA (Major) in the following subjects:

BA (General)
If you do not wish to specialise in any particular discipline, you can select courses from various disciplines. However it is advised that you choose courses from a maximum of 2 or 3 disciplines so that you have proper knowledge of the disciplines you choose.
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
The BCA programme is offered by School of Computer and Information Sciences (SOCIS).
Eligibililty: 10+2 or its equivalent
Medium of Instruction: English
Duration: Minimum 3 years and Maximum 6 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions.
Fee Structure: Rs. 36,000/- for full programme to be paid Semester wise @Rs. 6,000/- per semester.
Bachelor of Commerce (B.COM)
It is offered by School of Management Studies (SOMS). It is also offered in two streams:
- Non-formal: For students who have not passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination. They have to pass Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme of IGNOU to qualify for admission to B.A.
- Formal: For students who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination.
Eligibililty: 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU.
Medium of Instruction: English & Hindi
Duration: Minimum 3 years and Maximum 6 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions.
Fee Structure: Rs. 7,200/- for full programme to be paid year wise @Rs. 2,400/- per year.
Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS)
The Programme comprises of 9 courses of which 5 are practical and 4 are theory based courses. The programme is currently being offered in English medium only. However, the students can write their assignments and term-end examination in Hindi medium also.
Eligibililty:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and 45% for General and for the SC/ST/OBC/PH category respectively, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree with Diploma(one year) in Library Science, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of working experience in Library & Information Centre
Medium of Instruction: English
Duration: Minimum 1 year and Maximum 4 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions.
Fee Structure: Rs. 6,000/- for full programme
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)
Eligibility: 10+2 with Science Subjects or its equivalent.
Medium of Instruction: English and Hindi
Duration: Minimum 3 year and Maximum 6 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions.
Fee Structure: Rs. 12,600/- for full programme to be paid year wise @ Rs.4,200/- per year.
The B.Sc degree will be offered to candidates on earning 96 credits in the entire course. Candidates will have to choose from three categories of courses for earning these credits:

Laboratory Facility: The Laboratory classes will be available at the study centre opted for by the students. However, if the facility is not available at a particular centre, they might be asked to attend them at a different centre.
Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
This course is offered by School of Social Work (SOSW). This course will include Practical work in addition to theory.
Eligibililty: 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU
Medium of Instruction: English & Hindi
Duration: Minimum 3 years and Maximum 6 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions.
Fee Structure: Rs. 14,400/- for full programme to be paid year wise @Rs.4,800/- per year.
Bachelor of Tourism Studies (BTS)
The programme is offered by School of Tourism and Hospitality Service Management (SOTHSM)
Eligibililty: 10+2 or its equivalent or BPP from IGNOU

Duration: Minimum 3 years and Maximum 6 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions.
