Institute of Chemical Technology as the name specifies is a chemical technology research university. It is also known as known as University Department of Chemical Technology Mumbai, UDCT Mumbai and Mumbai University Institute of Chemical Technology. The institute focuses on training and research in various branches of chemical engineering, chemical technology, and pharmacy. UDCT Mumbai was founded in the year 1933 and was given the status of deemed university status in 2008. It has campuses at Jalna, Marathwada, and Bhubaneshwar as well.
National Institutional Ranking Framework has given the tenth rank to ICT among engineering institutes in 2018, 19th among universities and 30th overall. ICT was also accredited 118 in the QS (BRICS) Rank List.

- First and foremost an individual who must have qualified MHT-CET examination or JEE Main Examination is eligible to apply for admission.
- An applicant who has qualified MHT-CET examination must have secured a valid rank only then he/she is granted admission through MHT-CET counselling.
- For All India Seats, the institute admits candidates depending upon JEE Main rank through MHT-CET counselling.
ICT Mumbai Cutoff
Institute of Chemical Technology admits applicants on the basis of ICT Mumbai cutoff as prescribed by the concerned authority. Thus, candidates who wish for admission in UDCT Mumbai must meet the required cutoff. If an individual fails to meet this cutoff then he/she is incapable of applying for admission. However, candidates attaining the cutoff does not get admission directly but they are called to attend the MHT-CET counselling procedure. The cutoff is released certainly for all the 4 rounds of counselling.
The cutoff of ICT Mumbai is the least qualifying score required by an applicant in order to apply for admission. Therefore, the main focus of candidates who wish to take admission must be to score well and hence to satisfy the prescribed cutoff. The concerned authority releases the category-wise and branch-wise cutoff on the official website. UDCT Mumbai cutoff consists of opening and closing ranks for admission.
