GATE Scorecard 2021: The exam conducting i.e IIT Bombay will release the scorecard of GATE. Candidates can access the scorecard from the official website. The scorecard of GATE will be only available in online mode. GATE 2021 Scorecard is an important document that the candidates must keep secure until the entire admission process is over. Hence, it is necessary to keep the scorecard safe. GATE Scorecard 2021 will contain the candidate’s marks in GATE, cutoff marks, GATE scores, and candidate’s rank. It is important to note that only those students will be issued GATE Scorecard who scores the minimum qualifying marks. Hence, make sure you perform really well in the entrance exam. The validity of the GATE Scorecard is till 3 years from the day of declaration of result.

Steps to Download GATE Scorecard 2021

Candidates can download the scorecard from the official website. In order to download the scorecard of GATE, follow the steps given below.

  • Head to the “Gate Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal”
  • Now, login using your enrollment ID/ email ID, password, and captcha code
  • After submitting the login credentials, you will be able to see the GATE Scorecard on your screen
  • Further, download the scorecard PDF
  • Take a printout of the GATE Scorecard PDF for future uses

Calculation of GATE Scores

The scores of GATE will be calculated on the basis of actual marks secured by the candidate in the GATE paper. However, the papers that take place in multiple sessions, the normalization process will be used to calculate scores.

The normalization process means that the raw marks scored by the candidate in the paper will be converted into normalized scores for the specific subject. Therefore, raw marks (single session GATE papers) and normalized score (multiple-session GATE paper) will be used to calculated GATE scores.

GATE Counselling 2021

After the release of the scorecard, IIT will conduct the counselling rounds. Qualifying candidates can participate in the counselling process. The entire counselling process will be managed by CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Plan/ M.Tech/ M.Arch courses).

CCMT is an online process for NITs (National Institute of Technologies) & various other centrally funded institutions. The GATE counselling registration will start in the 1st week of April 2021. In order to participate in the counselling of GATE, candidates must have a valid score (GATE 2019/2020/2021). Counselling process will take place in online mode. Also, there will be 3 rounds in the counselling process.
