The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a National level Examination organised jointly by IISc based in Bangalore and the 7 IITs of India. This Examination is conducted basically for those candidates who want to seek their careers in Engineering Technologies. Candidates who are able to clear the GATE can take admission in Post-Graduate courses and can proceed further for Doctoral Programmes i.e M.E/M.Tech/PhD in IITs and IISc. Candidates get financial support from Governmental Institutions like MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development).

The GATE examination is held in 199 cities in India and 6 cities abroad. The international candidates who want to apply for this test should possess a valid Passport. The Examination is conducted in the online mode and the candidates should have minimum Computer Knowledge to sit for the Examination. There are 23 disciplines out of which the candidates need to choose their desired subject. Candidates are free to choose any discipline out of 23 appropriate to their qualifying degree in the specified subject.

New: The Result of GATE 2019 is declared on 15th March 2019. The authorities have released the result a day prior to the announced date which was 16th March 2019. The Scorecard will be available for download from 20th March 2019 and the last date is 31st May 2019.

Important Dates GATE Result 2019
Candidates should always keep themselves updated with appropriate dates for the examination. They should keep a note on all the important events related to the Examination. This will help the candidates to remain abreast and they will not miss anything important related to the examination.

The Score Card or the results for GATE 2019 shall be declared in the official site of GOAPS (Gate Online Application Processing System). Usually, the result is declared a day before the official date. The results can be processed only through online mode. No other mode will be entertained. The results will be announced only for the students who have appeared for the examination. Candidates who have been terminated for any cause such as failure to produce the hall ticket or bringing any kind of illegal devices or gadgets in the examination Hall will not be able to check their results.
The Process to Check the GATE Result 2019
Candidates who have appeared in the GATE Examination, 2019 can check the results on the Official Website of GATE or GOAPS. The candidates should have all the required details with them to check the result.
- Visit the Official Website of GATE 2019.
- Click on the Link provided in the website. The result Page will open on the computer screen.
- The candidates need to enter their Enrollment ID, Registration no. and Date of Birth to check their result.
- Click on the Login Button.
- The Result will be displayed on the screen. Download the result.
Candidates should keep a print copy of their result as it might be required for multiple purposes in the future. The GATE scorecard is valid for 3 years after the declaration of the result. If the candidate wish to keep a soft copy with them, the candidate need to pay Rupees 500 for it.

GATE Cut-Off 2019
When the candidates go through the previous year’s cut-offs, the candidate gets an idea of the marks which they need to obtain to qualify GATE. However, the GATE cut-off scores for PSU recruitment or M.Tech Admissions will be dependent on the PSU or the institute or the organisation where the candidate is applying for.
The results for GATE 2018 will be declared soon by the last week of March 2019 and the cut-off list for 2018 will be uploaded immediately once the result is out. The Following is the cut-off list of 2017 which would help the candidates to get a rough idea of it.

GATE Counselling 2019
Candidates who get qualified for the Examination can further go through the GATE counselling process. On the basis of the results scored by the candidates, there will be admissions in the different Colleges and Universities. The Admission to IITs and other reputed organisations are purely based on scores. Generally, the counselling is held by the IITs, IIITs, Niits, CFTIs for the candidates taking admission in M.Tech. The PSU recruitment is also based on the GATE score. Candidates qualified in the GATE also have to go through Personal Interview and Group Discussions to get admitted in the universities.
