Documents Required For JEE Main 2025 Registration

At the time of registration for JEE Main, candidates need various documents to fill the registration form. The documents required at the time of filling the application form are as follows-

• Marksheet of Class 10th
• Marksheet of class 12th if already passed otherwise appearing candidates present the mark sheet at the time of counselling.
• Category certificate
• Residential certificate
• Passport size photograph and signature of the candidates as well as their parents in JPEG format
• Thumb impression (Left thumb for boys and right thumb for girls)
• Date of birth certificate or use the class 10th certificate as an evidence
• Valid and correct Email address and contact details.

Specifications Of The Documents Required At The Time of Registration

While uploading the documents, candidates must be sure that they upload the documents as per the specifications. The National Testing Agency has mentioned the JEE Main Image Specifications in the information bulletin. All the documents must be scanned properly and must be JPEG/JPG Format.

Documents Required At The Time Of JEE Main Counselling

Counselling is the main procedure which is conducted by JoSAA. So while going for the JEE Main Counselling, candidates need to have the documents which show their personal, academic and community certificate.  Below table shows the documents as per the classification are:

• Provisional JoSAA seat Allotment Letter 2025
• Two Passport size photographs
• Candidate Undertaking
• Photo Identity Card (valid)
• Original JEE Advanced Admit Card 2025
• Proof of Seat Acceptance fee payment by e-challan or SBI Net banking
• Date of Birth Proof (10th Standard Mark Sheet)
• Class 12th (or equivalent) Mark Sheet and Pass Certificate
• Medical Certificate
• Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Certificate for PwD (if applicable)
• Passport (for foreign nationals) or OCI Certificate or PIO Card (if applicable)

Documents Required At The JEE Main Exam Centre

While going for the JEE Main entrance test candidates need to have certain documents with them. Lacking the documents candidates will not be allowed to sit for the exam. The important documents the candidates need to carry to the exam centers are:

• Print copy of Admit Card
• One passport size photograph. It must be noted that the passport size photo must be same as uploaded on the Online Application Form
• Any authorized photo IDs that must be original, valid and non-expired. ID Proof such as  – PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Ration Card
• If claiming the relaxation under PwD category, the PwD certificate must have the certificate issued by the authorized medical officer.
