CBSE Compartment Exam 2019: The exam of Senior Secondary is conducted every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education acting as an examination conducting body. Candidates appearing in board exam face the fear of failing the exam or securing lesser marks which will hinder the admission in the desired college. The increasing difficulty level of the board and the target of securing a position in the competitive exam can be few of the reasons which result in lesser marks or failing the board exams. CBSE has provided provisions for those candidates who fail the subjects in their senior secondary Examination. CBSE Compartment Exam 2019 is conducted for the candidates who have got compartment or failed in one or two subjects and require to pass in those subjects. It should be noted though that if the candidate fails all the main subjects in their board exams or do not appear for their exam, they will not be eligible to appear for the compartment exam.

As per the latest update, the CBSE Compartment exam 2019 for class 10th and 12th will be conducted from 2nd July 2019. The process has started from 13th May 2019 and the forms must be submitted before 22nd May 2019. The Board has released the different online portal for Private candidates and for Regular candidates.

CBSE Compartment Exam 2019

Central Board of Secondary Education releases the schedule of the Compartment exam on its official website. The exam of CBSE Compartment is conducted three times providing an opportunity to the candidate. The dates mentioned below are provided as per for the candidate who gave the March 2019 exam but failed in the one or two subjects, they will be provided with an opportunity of appearing for the exam three times.

CBSE Compartment Application Form 2019

Candidates with the compartment in one or more than one subject are required to fill up the CBSE Compartment Exam 2019 Application Form and submit it. It should be noted that CBSE conducts compartment exam three times providing an opportunity to the candidate passing the subjects which they have failed in their Senior Secondary Board exam. For Example, If the candidate has appeared for March 2019 exam and has failed in one or two subjects, they will be provided with an opportunity of passing the subjects in July 2019. Candidates are given an opportunity of appearing for Compartment exam and passing the subjects three times.

How to fill CBSE Compartment Exam 2019 Application Form

The application form of CBSE Compartment exam 10th and 12th will be released three times on the official website providing the candidate with an ample of an opportunity of passing the subject. The procedure of filling up the Application Form is provided below.

Go through the steps very carefully in order to fill up the CBSE Compartment Exam Application form 2019 without any error.

Step 1- Visit the official website of CBSE i.e. cbse.nic.in and navigate for ‘Recent Announcements’ sections.

Step 2- The Application Form link of ‘Class 12 Compartment/Class 10th Compartment’ will be available on the portal. Click on the link as per the eligibility.

Step 3- Look for ‘online submission of LOC for compartment/IOP exam for 2018 or ‘online application for private candidates for Comptt/IOP examination 2018’.

Step 4- Click on the link of either ‘class 12th or class 10th’ as per your suitability and class.

Step 5- Enter the asked details such as the Roll Number, Centre Number, School Code and click on the proceed button.

Step 6- The CBSE Compartment Application Form will appear on the screen and candidates will have to provide details which are valid and correct. Students should note that they will have to appear for the Compartment exam only of the class in which they were enrolled also make sure to enter the correct course code and class code. Any form of incorrect information will prohibit the submission of the Application form.

Step 7- After filling up the Application form, candidates will have to upload the Photograph and Signature as per the specifications provided in the information brochure.

Step 8- Next step will be of the payment of the Application Fee. The Application Form will be accepted only after the submission of the Application Fee. The amount of the fee will be provided in the notification released along with the Application Form.

Step 9- After the successful payment of the Application form, click on the submit button. Candidates are advised to take a print out of the submitted Application Form for the future references.

CBSE Compartment Exam Eligibility Criteria 2019

Central Board of Secondary Education has prescribed the eligibility criteria for the candidates who will be appearing for CBSE Compartment Exam in order to clear the subjects in which they have failed. Candidates should make sure that they go through the eligibility criteria very carefully before proceeding to fill up the Application form.

Find the eligibility conditions of the CBSE 10th and 12th Compartment Exam 2019 from the points mentioned below;

  • Candidates who have failed in one subject but have passed in all other subjects will have to appear for the CBSE 10th and 12th compartment exam 2019.
  • If the candidate has 6 subjects in their 12th and has failed in two of the subjects, they will have to appear for the compartment exams in any of the one subjects.
  • If the candidate has failed to appear in their board exam or has failed all the five subjects in their board, they will not be eligible to appear CBSE Compartment exam.
  • The compartment will be mentioned in the result of the candidate for those subjects in which she/he has failed or haven’t been able to secure the passing marks.
  • The status of the result whether failed or compartment will be mentioned on the final result.

CBSE Compartment Fee Structure 2019

Fee structure of CBSE Compartment Exam 2019 for regular and private candidates is different. Private candidates have to pay additional postal charges to appear in the compartment exam.

CBSE Compartment Exam Admit Card 2019

The Admit card will be released in first week of July 2019 on the official website of CBSE. Candidates who have successfully applied for the compartment exam will be able to download CBSE Compartment Admit Card. The Admit Card will be provided to the candidates through schools and for Private Candidates, the link of the CBSE Compartment Exam 2019 Admit Card will be available separately. It will mention the centre of the exam, date and timing of the exam, the subject for which student is appearing for, subject code, name of the student and other important instructions regarding the exam which should be followed by the candidate. It will be mandatory to bring Admit Card on the day of the exam, the entry of the candidate in the examination hall will be prohibited otherwise.

CBSE Compartment Exam 2019 Result

The result of CBSE Compartment Exam 2019 will be released in second week of August 2019 on the official website of Central Board of Secondary Education. Candidates who gave the exam will be able to check if they have passed the exam from the result link. The Result link will mention the details of the marks secured by the candidate, maximum number of marks, the status of the result, Roll No and course code and name.

Students who gave the Compartment exam 2019 will have to provide the details in order to access the result successfully. It should be noted that the marks secured by the candidate in the compartment exam will be updated in the mark sheet. Students will get a chance of appearing in the CBSE Compartment Exam 2019 for total three times in order to pass the subject.

Important Points Regarding CBSE Compartment Exam 2019

  • Candidates who have Compartment in the subject of their Board exams will have to appear for the exam in order to clear the Board exams.
  • In case the candidate fails to appear for the board exam or fails all the chances of the compartment will be treated failed in the examination and will have to appear fresh in the next session.
  • Candidates who have the compartment in the subject will have to fill up the Application forms for the compartment exam which will be available on the official website of CBSE.
  • Compartment will not be provided in more than one subject.
  • Candidates will have an opportunity of giving the Compartment exam three times in total.
  • The CBSE Compartment exam 2019 is conducted once in July of the same year in which they have given the Board exam, another one is conducted in March/April of next year and last one in July of next year. Candidates will have to clear the subject in any of the attempts.
  • The Application Form and Notification regarding the CBSE Compartment exam 2019 will be on the official website of CBSE.
  • Student will have to appear only for those subjects in which they have Compartment mentioned on their Mark sheet.
  • In case the candidate has failed the theory of the subject in which there is practical too, she/he will have to appear for theory exam and the achieved practical marks will be carried forward. In case the candidate has failed in Practical exam and passed in theory, in this case the student will have to appear for both the theory and practical exam.
