AP MBBS Admission 2018: The state of Andhra Pradesh is a hub of various medical colleges. The admission to some of these institutes/colleges is done through the state level examination conducted by JNTU which is Andhra Pradesh Engineering, agriculture and medical common entrance test (AP EAMCET). However, admission to some of these colleges/institutes is done through the score of the national level examination National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Admission to the medical and dental colleges of Andhra Pradesh is done through the admission procedure conducted by Dr. NTR University of Health and Science. There are approximately 4450 seats in the MBBS course offered in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is important to note here that unlike other states, all the seats in Andhra Pradesh come under the state quota and there are no seats reserved under the All India Quota. Dr. NTR UHS will not conduct any entrance examination for admission to the MBBS/BDS courses offered in all the institutes affiliated to it. All aspiring candidates who want to take part in the admission procedure will have to first apply for the same and then appear for the counselling.

AP MBBS 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Prior to filling up the AP MBBS 2018 application form, candidates must make sure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria laid down by the concerned authority. The eligibility criteria are usually based on certain parameters like age, domicile, nationality, etc. The general eligibility criteria are listed below and all the candidates must make sure that they meet these criteria and only then apply to the AP MBBS 2018 admissions:
- The candidate should be an Indian National or Person of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holder and should satisfy the Local or Non-local status in Andhra Pradesh (Residence requirement)
2. The candidate should have passed Intermediate (10+2 pattern) or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) / Biotechnology and English.
- OC candidates should obtain not less than 50% marks in science subjects.
- BC/SC/ST candidates should obtain not less than 40% marks in science subjects.
- OC PH candidates should obtain not less than 45% marks in science subjects.
3. The candidates should secure the following cutoff scores in National Eligibility-cumEntrance Test (NEET) UG -2018, conducted by CBSE, New Delhi.

AP MBBS Registration Form 2018
The Registration Form of AP MBBS 2018 has been released online on the official website on 20th June 2018. The deadline to register is 24th June 2018. Link to register is provided below. All Candidates will be required to first register and pay a registration and verification amount. The amount to be paid is Rs. 3000 for OBC categories and for the ones belonging to the backward classes, the registration fee is Rs. 2500. After this candidates will be required to upload the scanned images of their recent passport size photograph, signature, and left-hand thumb impression. After filling in all the details candidates will be asked to submit the application form. Candidates must check that all the details entered in the application form are correct and in accordance with the documents uploaded by the candidate. Candidates must make sure to make the payment of application/registration fee through AP Online/TS Online/E-Seva/Mee Seva or Credit Card/Debit Card.

Application and Counseling Fee is Rs. 3000/- (Bank transaction charges extra) for OC/BC categories and Rs.2,500/- (Bank transaction charges extra) for SC/ST categories.
AP MBBS Merit List
The merit list of AP MBBS 2018 admissions will be released tentatively in the month of July 2018. Dr. NTR University of Health and Science that will conduct the admission process will also release the merit list. The merit list will be prepared keeping in mind the candidate’s score in NEET examination. The admission to the medical and dental colleges will be made strictly on the basis of the merit list.

Cut Off of AP MBBS 2018
The AP MBBS 2018 cut-off is the minimum marks or rank required to qualify an admission procedure and be eligible for admission. The AP MBBS 2018 cut-off will be based on the NEET 2018 score. Candidates will be required to obtain the prescribed cut-off. The NEET 2018 qualifying percentile for each category is given below:

AP MBBS Counselling 2018
Dr. NTR UHS, Vijayawada will conduct the counselling for eligible candidates who want to take admission in the MBBS and BDS courses. The counselling for the admissions will be held in the online mode and will begin with the application procedure. Only those candidates who have cleared the NEET 2018 and met the specified cut-off will be called for counselling. The counselling of AP MBBS admissions will be held in 2 rounds. If there are seats that are left vacant in the first round, the second round of counselling will take place to fill those seats.
Candidates have to report to the counselling center along with the below-mentioned documents. Two sets of attested copies have to be taken along. List of documents is given below:
- SSC or Equivalent Examination Mark Sheet and Passing Certificate.
- Intermediate or Equivalent Examination Mark Sheet
- NEET 2018 Admit Card
- NEET 2018 Rank Card
- Aadhaar Card

After the documents have been verified, the final merit list will be released and candidates will be required to take part in the online counselling also known as the web counselling. During web counselling, candidates will be required to fill in the choice of their course and college. Candidates will also be required to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 5000. Those who have got admission in round 1 but want to change the seat, can take part in round 2 of the web counselling. The allotment of the seats will be done on the basis of the all India rank, the choices filled by the candidate and the availability of seats. If the candidate does not pay the college fee on time, the candidature of the candidate will be canceled.
