WBJEE Medical Merit List 2025
The WBJEEB 2025 Rank List will be released in online mode and hence will not be available in any other mode. Moreover, it will be out within a week or two after the result declaration. Candidates should thus have knowledge of the exam activities schedule. In this way, you will not miss out on any of the important events. Types of WBJEE Medical Rank List 2025
The merit list will be released in basically two formats. It is done to ensure that the students are able to find their names easily on the list. In addition, the participating institutes also release a separate cutoff list. Further, in this way, the authorities are able to segregate the students on the basis of merit. Candidates are also called for counselling as per the merit list only. Thus, the students of higher rank will be called first and will be able to get admission to the desired colleges easily. Furthermore, the two types of WBJEE Medical Merit List that will be released are as follows:
General Merit List:
This rank list will be prepared as per the candidate’s performance in both Paper-1 and Paper-2. In addition, students who appeared for both the papers will be listed in it. Further, it will be available in online mode. Some other important details about the WBJEE General Merit List (GMR) are as follows:
- The students whose names will be mentioned in this rank list will be eligible for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, and Technology courses.
- Moreover, the General Merit List will be available category-wise.
- However, counselling and the seat allotment process will be carried out on the basis of general merit list rank and not category rank.
Pharmacy Merit List:
In this rank list, the students who appeared for Paper-2 (Physics & Chemistry) will be ranked in order of merit. Further, the other important details about the Pharmacy Merit List (PML) are as follows:
- The listed candidates will be eligible for admission to Pharmacy courses in the medical Institutes of West Bengal.
- In addition, the round of counselling for admission to Pharmacy courses will be done on the basis of the Pharmacy Merit List only.
- Moreover, the merit list will be released category-wise. The categories reserved are SC/ ST/ PwD, OBC, etc.
- Candidates wanting to take admission through reservation policy will have to provide the necessary documents. Further, the students who will not provide the required documents will not be able to claim the reserved seats.
How to Download WBJEEB Medical Merit List 2025?
WBJEE Pharmacy 2025 Merit List will be released in online mode only and hence will be available for download on the official website of the board. The direct link to download the rank list will be provided in this article as well. - Visit the Official Website of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board- www.wbjeeb.nic.in
- On the homepage, click on the link to “WBJEE Medical Merit List”.
- Further, you will be asked to enter your roll number and date of birth. Note that you will not be able to check out the list in case you enter the wrong details.
- After entering the details, click on the “Submit” option.
- After submitting the information, the merit list will appear on the screen. Check the list carefully for your name.
- Then click on the download icon and save it.

Details on the WBJEE Pharmacy Merit List 2025
A lot of times, two students’ names or some other details can be the same. Thus, the authorities mention other unique details of students as well on the rank list. Furthermore, the details that the students will be able to locate on the rank list are as follows:
- Name of the Candidate
- Father’s Name
- Roll Number
- Category of the Candidate
- Marks obtained in Paper 1
- Marks obtained in Paper 2
- Total marks secured in the WBJEE Medical 2025.
- Overall rank achieved by the candidate.
West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Pharmacy Tie-Breaking Criteria
The tie-breaking criteria as prescribed by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. It is to ensure that the students are ranked on the merit list in a fair manner. Further, a lot of times two or more students end up scoring the exact same marks. The WBJEE Pharmacy Tie-Breaking criteria thus come into play. Furthermore, the criteria that will be followed for ranking students in such cases is as follows:
- The candidate who scored fewer negative marks in Physics and Chemistry will be ranked higher.
- If the tie continues, then the student with more marks in Chemistry will be preferred.
- Further, the candidate with fewer negative marks in Chemistry will be given preference.
- If the tie still exists, then the student who answered more Chemistry 2 marks questions correct will be ranked higher.
- Then if the tie exists, then the student who scored fewer negative marks in Chemistry questions of 2 marks will be ranked higher.
- If the tie still exists, then the student who answered more than 2 marks of Physics questions correct will be ranked higher.
- Then if the tie exists, then the student who scored fewer negative marks in Physics questions of 2 marks will be ranked higher.
Furthermore, if the tie continues after the above conditions as well, then their date of birth will be considered. The student older in age will be given preference and will be ranked higher in the merit list.
WBJEE Medical Counselling 2025
The counselling will be the last and final round of the admission process. WBJEEB Counselling 2025 for all the courses will be conducted in online mode. Moreover, only the students whose names will be mentioned in the merit list will be eligible for counselling. In this admission round, candidates will be allotted seats in the medical institutes of West Bengal on the basis of merit. Candidates of higher rank will be able to get admission to the desired institutes easily. Furthermore, candidates will have to submit a few documents on the joining day at the allotted institute. The reporting time and date will be provided on the day of counselling. Candidates who will not participate in counselling will further lose out their seat to some other deserving student.
– 3rd week of May 2025 -WBJEE Medical Merit List 2025: The WBJEEB Rank Card has been released of the students who appeared for the test. In addition, the link to check the scorecard is provided below. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board prepares the merit list on the basis of the subjects (Paper) that appeared in the WBJEE Medical 2025. The Board prepares the merit list on the basis of the score of the candidates in the written entrance examination. Therefore, the candidates who have given the entrance test can check their names in the merit list. The WBJEE Medical Merit List comes after the declaration of the WBJEE results.
WBJEE Medical 2025 Merit List
WBJEE Medical Merit List 2025 will release after the declaration of the WBJEE result. The Board releases two separate merit ranks. These lists are on the basis of the papers that the candidates have given exam in WBJEE 2025 and the marks they have got. The two separate merit lists are as follows:

The Board will prepare the General Merit Rank of the candidate on the basis of total score in both Paper-1 as well as Paper-2. The WBJEE Medical 2025 admission list is of two types, in which one is for the total scores in Paper 1 and Paper 2 and the other is exclusively for Paper 2. Therefore, candidates have to check their names in the merit list according to the papers in which they have appeared for the entrance examination.

- The General Merit List is prepared based on the total score obtained in Paper 1 and Paper II of WBJEE Medical Exam Pattern 2025 taken together.

WBJEE 2025 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR)
The WBJEE 2025 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) is made on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in Paper-II only, Physics and Chemistry, to be specific. Following are some important points regarding WBJEE 2025 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR):
- On the basis of the WBJEE 2025 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR), the eligible candidates can take admission into all the Pharmacy courses in the state, other than Jadavpur University
- The name of the highest scorer in WBJEE 2025 exam Paper-II will be at the top of the WBJEE 2025 Pharmacy Merit Rank list while the name of the candidate who has the least marks in Paper-II will be at the bottom
- The tie-breaking methodology is also taken in case if two or more candidates have the same score
- The admission and counseling of the eligible candidates is on the basis of WBJEE 2025 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) only
- The merit position of the candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, PwD, etc is indicated separately
- The purpose of this category ranks is only to provide information to the students. However, the admission, allotment of seat and counseling is done on the basis of WBJEE 2025 Pharmacy Merit Rank list

Candidates, please Note
- The candidates who have appeared in both the WBJEE Medical 2025 Paper I and Paper II are eligible for both PMR and GMR rank lists. They can also take admission into all the courses under WBJEEB.
- Candidates who will appear only in WBJEE Medical 2025 Paper-II are eligible for admission only into Pharmacy courses (except Jadavpur University). Their names appear only in the PMR list.
- Those candidates who choose to appear only in WBJEE Medical 2025 paper-1 are not eligible for any rank. Their names do not appear in either GMR or PMR lists.

Tie-breaking rules for GMR:
- Less negative marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics combined
- More positive marks in Physics and Mathematics combined
- More positive marks in Chemistry and Mathematics combined
- Less negative marks in Physics and Mathematics combined
- Less negative marks in Chemistry and Mathematics combined
- More positive marks obtained by the candidates in Mathematics questions carrying 2 marks
- If a candidate scores more number of positive marks in Physics questions carrying 2 marks
- More positive marks obtained by the candidates in Chemistry questions carrying 2 marks
- Less negative marks scored by the candidates in Mathematics questions carrying 2 marks
- Less negative marks scored by the candidates in Physics questions carrying 2 marks
Tie-breaking rules for PMR:
- Less negative marks scored by the candidates in Physics and Chemistry
- More positive marks in Chemistry paper
- Less negative marks scored by the candidates in Chemistry paper
- More positive marks obtained by the candidates in the Chemistry questions carrying 2 marks
- Less negative marks scored by the candidates in Chemistry questions carrying 2 marks
- More positive marks obtained by the candidates in the Physics questions carrying 2 marks
- Less negative marks scored by the candidates in Physics questions carrying 2 marks.
Final Tie-breaking rule for GMR and PMR
If two or more candidates are at the same marks even after applying the above tie-breaking rules. In such cases, the Date of Birth of the candidates will come into play where older candidates are given preference over the younger candidates.
WBJEE Medical 2025 Reservation Details
- The reservation of the seat for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD will depend upon the category of the participating institutions.
- But, for getting admission to such a category, one needs a domicile of West Bengal only i.e. the candidate must be a resident of the state only.
- Candidates claiming to such a category must present a relevant certificate during counseling, admission, etc.
