The TS PGECET 2018 will be scheduled in the month of May for the Academic session 2018-19. Osmania University will hold the state level Examination on the Behalf of TSCHE (Telangana State Council of Higher Education).The TS PGECET Application Form have started from the month of March. Aspirants wanting to pursue their career in the field of Engineering, Architecture or in the Technical line should apply for the course.

The TS PGECET Applicants who submit the form late have to pay late submission fees. The late submission fee is divided into four structures i.e Rupees 500, Rupees 1000, Rupees 5000 and Rupees 10000. The more the candidates delay with the submission of the forms, more will be their late submission fee. After the last date of the form fill up the candidates will be issued the Hall Ticket. Only the candidates who have completed all the procedures of application and registered themselves successfully will be issued with the Hall Tickets. The candidates can only take the Examination if they take the hall tickets with them.
The Examination will be computer-based and there will be no off line mode for the candidates. The maximum time that will be allotted to the candidates is 2hours or 120 minutes. After the 120 minutes, they will not be given any extra time to complete the Examination. The question paper will be only set in the English Language and it would consist of 120 questions. Total marks for this examination is 120. There will be an average of one minute to solve each question in the paper. GATE/GPAT candidates can also apply for the Examination but they do not have to appear for the examination.

TS PGECET Examination Pattern
TS PGECET 2018 will be held in the on line mode. There will be 16 disciplines available and candidates can apply to more than one discipline if they want to. Candidates will be given 2 hours to complete the paper. The paper will consist of 120 Multiple choice questions( MCQ). There will be four choices for each and every question wherein the candidates have to give the right answers. Qualified candidates are given the first preference. They will be first selected for the seats and the remaining seats are filled up the TS PGECET qualifies candidates. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded a mark each and there will be no negative marking in the examination.
TS PGECET Syllabus
The syllabus will be prescribed by the Osmania University for TS PGECET. The syllabus will be different for different disciplines. The candidates should check the discipline before downloading it. Aspiring candidates should follow the TS PGECET syllabus while preparing to come out with flying colors. The candidates need to plan accordingly with the syllabus. They should try to calculate time and learn time management for the hard problem sums. It is not important for the candidate to study hard rather they should study smart. Candidates should know the topics well and they should know which topics need more study and which topics they need to be avoided.
The Engineering Mathematics will be common for all the candidates whose stream is Engineering and Technology, even if they have applied for different disciplines. But they will be available only in 13 papers.
Engineering Mathematics will have the following topics which should be mastered by the candidates.
- Linear Algebra: Matrices and determinants, System of Linear Equations, Eigen Values and Eigen Vectors
- Calculus: Functions of Single Variable,limits, continuity and differentiability, mean value theorem, Evaluation of definite and improper integrals, Partial Derivatives, Total Derivatives, Maxima and Minima, Gradient, Divergence and curl, vector identities, directional derivatives,line, surface and volume integrals, strokes, Gauss and Green’s theorem.
- Differential calculus: First order linear and non-linear equation, Higher order Linear and non-linear ODEs with constant coefficients, Cauchy and Euler Equations and Boundary value problems
- Numerical Methods: Numerical solution of Linear and non-linear algebraic equations, integration by trapezoidal and Simpson rule.
TS PGECET 2018 Mock Test
The practice of Mock test is very important for candidates who are preparing for TS PGECET 2018. Candidates who keep on giving the Mock test gets an experience with the pattern of the question Paper that is set in the Examination of TS PGECET. Osmania University conducts the mock test to give the Candidates the experience of the online test. The candidates, however, get an idea of the actual test.It helps the candidate on the day of the Examination because the candidate becomes familiar with the patterns and the buttons to be clicked and the steps and features. The mock test saves a lot of time on the day of the examination. The Mock test for TS PGECET is not being released yet. But candidates can keep practicing the mock test of Last year. Apart from the Mock test, the candidates should also download the sample papers provided by the TS PGECET. The continuous solving sample papers help the candidate find and discover new ways of problem-solving and they become aware of the pattern that the Examination Authorities usually follows during the Examination. Practicing Mock Test and Sample Papers usually score higher marks than other candidates. Mock test builds confidence in the candidates and brings accuracy.
