TS EAMCET ( Telangana State Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test) is a state level entrance exam which is a gateway for admission into the colleges/universities of the Telangana State. It is conducted every year by JNTU, Hyderabad on behalf of TSCHE (Telangana State Council of Higher Education). This year the exam will be conducted from 2nd – 5th May 2018 in an online mode and the application forms will also be filled online.

Before Filling Up The TS EAMCET 2018 Application Form, Every Candidate Must Make Sure That He/She Fits All The Eligibility Criteria. The eligibility criteria are conditions laid down by the exam conducting authority and every candidate must fulfill all the criteria before appearing for the exam. These criteria are based on certain parameters like age, educational qualification, nationality, etc. If ineligible candidates are found applying to the examination, their candidature will be held canceled.

  • It is necessary for the candidate to be an Indian National or must belong to Person of Indian Origin (POI) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) (card holders) to able to apply for the exam.
  • Candidate must belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.
  • Candidate must satisfy the local or non-local status.

Local Status

  • Andhra University (A.U. area) includes Nagarjuna University area.
  • Sri   Venkateswara University (S.V.U. area)  includes Sri Krishnadevaraya University area.
  • Osmania  University (O.U. area) includes Kakatiya University area.

Non- local status

A candidate will be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area (AU/ OU/ SVU) in the following cases:

  1. If he or she has studied in an educational institution or institutions in such local area for a period of four or more consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he or she appeared or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be.
  2. During the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years in which he or she appeared, or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination, he or she has not studied in any educational institutions, if he or she resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the relevant qualifying examination in which he/she appeared, or first appeared, as the case may be.
  3. If he or she has studied in the educational institutions in the state for a period of not less than seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he or she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to:

Local area where he or she studied for the maximum period out of period of seven years.

OR

Where the period of his or her study in two or more local areas is equal, such local area where he/she studied last in such equal periods.

  1. If during the whole or any part of the seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in the educational institutions, in any local area, but has resided in the state during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to:

OR

Where the period of his/her residence in two or more local areas is equal such local area where he/she had resided last in such periods.

  1. Candidates belonging to PIO/ OCI category will be considered as under non local category only.
  2. Candidates coming under any of the categories given below  will be treated as ‘Non-Local’ to all the three University areas specified above.
  3. Candidates who have resided in the state of T.S./ A.P. for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the period of study outside this state.

Candidates either of whose parents are employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.

OR

Candidates either of whose parents has resided in this state for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the periods of employment outside the state.

OR

Candidates who are spouses of those employed in the State of T.S./ A.P. or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.

Certain Eligibility Parameters That Are Set Course Wise To Sit For TS EAMCET 2018 Exam

For Engineering, Pharmacy, Bio-Technology, B.Sc Courses

Age: Applicant must complete 16 years of age as on 31st December at the time of admission. There is no upper age limit. In case of B.Tech (Dairy), B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering), B.Tech. (FS & T), B. Sc.(CA & BM) courses, candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December and the upper age limit is 22 (non-reserved category) and 25 years (SC/ST).

Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent.

Subjects: physics, chemistry, and maths as necessary subjects.

Percentage: Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 45% (for non-reserved category) and 40% (for SC/ST).

For BAMS/BHMS/BNYS Courses

Qualification: candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent.

Subjects: Physics, chemistry, zoology and botany are necessary subjects.

Age: Applicant must complete 17 years of age as on 31st December at the time of admission. There is no upper age limit.

For B. Pharmacy

Qualification: Candidates should have passed or appeared in 12th exam or equivalent from Andhra/ Telangana board.

Subjects: Physics and mathematics are necessary subjects along with Biotechnology/ biology/chemistry as optional subjects.

Age: Applicant must complete 16 years of age as on 31st December at the time of admission. There is no upper age limit.

For D Pharma Course

Qualification: Candidates should have passed or appeared in 12th exam or equivalent from Andhra/ Telangana board.

Subjects: Applicant must qualify the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry along with either Mathematics or Biology

Age: Applicant must complete 17 years of age as on 31st December at the time of admission. There is no upper age limit.

Engineering Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is a prestigious state level entrance examination taken to get admission into the engineering and medical colleges of the state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India. It is a yearly examination taken by a large number of engineering and medical aspirants.
