Orissa Institute of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) conducts entrance exam for admission to its Undergraduate Programme. The courses offered by the University are in Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Fishery Science, Home Science & Forestry in the semester system.
Candidates interested in applying for the mentioned programmes will be required to fill up the Application form available on the official website of the University. Forms are available only in the Online mode, eligible candidates can apply for admission into B.Sc.(Hons) Agriculture/B.Sc. (Hons) Horticulture/B.V.Sc & A.H./B.tech. (Agricul. Engg.)/B.F.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry & B.Sc. (Hons.) Community Science for academic session 2018-2019.
It is advised that the candidates go through the eligibility conditions in detail before applying for the exam. The details mentioned in the Application form should be valid and correct. In case of any discrepancy, University reserves the right of cancelling candidate’s admission even if she/he has qualified the entrance exam for the course applied.
The Application Forms have been released officially by the University for admission to Undergraduate Programmes on 20th February 2018 and the last date for the receipt of the form is 15th March 2018. Important Dates Regarding OUAT 2018
Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology has issued the official notification regarding the admission procedure for Undergraduate Programme. Application forms have been released along with the instructions which candidates should go through before proceeding for the form. Also should make sure that the eligibility criteria are fulfilled as prescribed by the University. OUAT 2018 Admit Card
The Admit card of OUAT 2018 entrance exam is now available. Candidates who have successfully registered themselves for entrance exam will be able to download the admit card. It is a mandatory document which should be carried at the time of the examination along with one valid Photo ID (PAN card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License etc.). The Admit Card will contain the details like Name of the candidate, course applied for, date of the entrance exam, Reporting time, Address of the examination centre, Timings of the exam, instructions to be followed by the candidate on the day of the exam etc. It is a required document, its absence will prohibit the candidate from appearing for the exam. Admit card will only be available only through the online mode and there will be no availability for posting the document individually.
OUAT 2018 Application Form
The Application form for applying for Undergraduate entrance exam in OUAT is available on the official website of the University. Candidates will be required to submit the Application before the due date and should make sure that the information provided is valid and correct. Forms have been available from 20th February 2018 and the last date for the receipt of the form is 15th March 2018. OUAT Application Form- Form A
Application Form A will be available on the official website. Eligible candidates applying for the entrance exam will be required to fill up the personal details, educational details and make the payment of the Application fee.
Candidates will also be required to upload their scanned photograph and signature, details are as mentioned:
- Recent Colour passport size photographs (Height: 200 px, Width: 150 px, File Size: 20 to 50 KB)
- Candidate’s full signature (Height: 100 px, Width: 150 px, File size: 10 to 20 KB).
- Candidates should use only JPG/JPEG format for photo and signature.
Payment of the Application Fee:
- Application fee of Rs.1200/- can be paid through Internet banking/Debit card/credit card. Payment can also be paid through nearest common service center in cash mode.
- Online submission and payment in cash can also be made through Common Service center.
- After the successful payment, the candidate can take a print out of computer generated Application Form- A with payment details for future reference.
OUAT Application form- Form B
It is compulsory for candidates to fill up Form B for admission into an Undergraduate course offered by the University. The link for Application Form B will be available on the University’s website. Applicants will be required to enter their Entrance Examination Roll number, Mobile Number and Date of Birth. The Application form B will have the partly filled data from Form A and the rest of the part such as academic qualification, category etc. Should be filled up the candidate very carefully. After the successful submission of Form B, candidates will receive a confirmation SMS sent to their registered phone number. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the completed form for future reference. The applicant will also be required to upload a scanned copy of documents mentioned below:
- Marksheet of 10th Standard
- Certificate of 10th standard for Date of Birth
- Marksheet of class 12th
- Certificate of class 12th
- SC/ST/Green card/Ph. Handicapped Certificate from the competent authority for the respective reserved authority.
- Residential certificate
- Aadhaar card
- Permanent residential certificate for western Odisha.
- For Application Form A- Candidates can also apply online through the Common Service Center located at the nearest area by making payment through cash and take a print out of Application Form- A with payment details for reference.
- For Application Form B- The candidates are advised not to send any hard copy of the application and documents to the University
OUAT 2018 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria needs to be fulfilled by the candidates if applying for the entrance exam. The University has prescibed the conditions for every course of Undergraduate programme. Candidates can go through the eligibility for applying from the tabular format belwo:

OUAT 2018 Examination Pattern
Candidates preparing for the exam can go through the examination pattern mentioned. It will be helpful in preparing the questions and how they will be framed in the question paper. The pattern of the question paper is mentioned in the points below:
- The pattern will be of objective type. Every question will carry four options out of which one has to be ticked by the candidates.
- The Question paper will be of 200 marks.
- The duration of the examination will be of 2 hours.
- The medium of the question paper will be English.
- Candidates will be answering questions of Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology.

OUAT 2018 Syllabus
The syllabus of entrance exam for admission to Undergraduate courses in OUAT will mostly consist the topics taught in class 12th. Candidates are advised to go through the topics in detail from the science syllabus. Topics consisted in the syllabus of the entrance exam are:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics/Biology
OUAT 2018 Result
The result of OUAT will be published on the official website of the University. Merit List will be released by the University based on the score secured by the candidate in the entrance exam. It will be available in the Pdf format. The selection of candidates will be done solely on the merit list basis which is based on candidate’s academic career and performance in the entrance exam. The University will also publish the marks of the entrance examination, provisional/final weight, rank and intimation-cum-rank card on its official website.

Tie Breaker Criteria:
If two or more candidates secure the same score, the tie will be resolved and their merit position will be declared on the basis of marks in +2 science or HSC/equivalent examination.

OUAT 2018 Counselling
The details regarding the counselling will be announced on the official website of the University after the declaration of the result. Candidates will be required to present at the time of counselling round as per the schedule on their OUAT intimation cum rank card which will be available on the official website containing the details such as OUAT roll number, mobile number and Date of Birth.
