NCERT will release the application form of NTSE 2019 in the month of August 2018. The last date to submit the NTSE Application form 2019 will vary from state to state. Students can download the NTSE application form 2019 online by clicking on the link given below or can obtain one offline from the Liasion Officer appointed in each state and UTs. The list of Liaison Officers of all states and UTs as mentioned by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is given below. Candidates will be required to submit the completely filled NTSE 2019 Application Form in offline mode to the state official NTSE Exam conducting authority. National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) is a two-tier examination conducted by NCERT for awarding scholarships to talented candidates. Candidates who qualify the first test will have to take the tier-two test. On qualifying the 2nd tier, the students will be awarded this scholarship. Please note that the dates related to NTSE application form 2019 mentioned in this article are tentative and based on last year’s data. They’ll be updated as soon as any official notification is released by the examination conducting authority.

The stage 1 exam of NTSE 2019 is conducted at state level by 29 States and 7 UTs of India while NTSE stage 2 exam is conducted by NCERT at the national level for qualified stage 1 candidates.

Instructions for NTSE Application Form 2019

  • The application form of NTSE will be available for states and UTs through the official website or through the liaison officer of each state.
  • Even though candidates can obtain the application form in online or offline mode, the application form can be submitted in offline mode only.
  • Candidates are required to remit an application fee for NTSE along with the application form.
  • Candidates need not send any NTSE application form 2019 to the official address of NCERT.
  • Candidates are not required to apply for stage 2 of NTSE 2019 as NTSE application will be a one-step application process.

Candidates can obtain the NTSE application form to apply for the two-tier exam as mentioned below –

Filling up the application – Candidates need to fill up the application form in their own handwriting as per the instructions and affix their recent photograph along with signature at the space provided on the NTSE 2019 application form.

Payment of application fee – Candidates need to remit the application fee as specified by the state/UT exam conducting body.

Application form submission – The NTSE application form 2019 needs to be submitted in offline mode at the official address of the state liaison officer. Candidates must ensure the application form of NTSE 2019 has been filled properly and attached with required documents as per the instructions only. Candidates can either send the NTSE 2019 application form via speed post/registered post or can submit it at the official address by visiting the liaison office in person.

NTSE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria before filling the application form of NTSE 2019. A candidate who does not satisfy the given eligibility criteria will not be considered for the admission process. Given below is the eligibility criteria for NTSE 2019.

  • Student must be appearing for class 10 examination from a recognized school.
  • Students who have applied for class 10 through open learning can appear for the NTSE exam.
  • Candidates must be less than 18 years of age.
  • All standards from class 1 to class 10 must be cleared.
