UPDATE – NTA JEE Main Practice Test Centres that will be available on every Saturday/Sunday has started test practice from 1st September 2019. Candidate will be able to give practice test from 8th September till 25th November 2018.

National Testing Agency is a set up as an Autonomous and self-sustained organization that is going to conduct national level tests on a voluntary basis for the conduct of independent tests. The National Testing Agency has been established to develop and promote standard in educational and professional testing and assessment. CBSE has prepared a model for NTA which suggests the objectives, structures and functions of the agency.

Students graduating from the higher secondary system and seeking admission to professional programmes of study at the undergraduate level in higher education appear in a multitude of entrance examinations. These examinations like JEE Main, NEET, CMAT, GPAT and UGC NET that are conducted at the national level hold a lot of importance in deciding the career of the candidate.

NTA JEE Main 2019 Practice Tests Centre

JEE Main 2019 Practice Centre: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will now be conducting the JEE Main and NEET twice in a year. All the exams will be conducted in fully computer-based mode. There will be no offline pen-paper based exam. For candidates who have never taken the computer-based mode of the exam, NTA will be conducting practice tests before the examination. These tests will help JEE and NEET aspirants who have never taken a computer-based exam before to know the full working of an online exam.

NTA JEE Main 2019 Test Practice Centre: There will be a number of NTA JEE Main 2019 practice centres where the candidates will be able to take the practice tests. These centres will be set up in different colleges and will be operating e-examination halls consisting of hardware and system software and necessary support.

NTA will also establish a network of test practice centers for students of rural areas so that everyone will have an opportunity to practice before the exam. Schools/engineering colleges with computer centers would be identified and kept open on Saturday/Sunday starting from 3rd week of August. Any student will be able to use the facility free of charge.

How to book JEE Main 2019 Test Practice Centre:

Go through the instructions as mentioned by National Testing Agency for the candidates to get registered on Test Practice centres:

Step 1 Visit NTA official website for Registration as a candidate for the Test Practice Centre. (TPC)

Visit Website URL: https://nta.ac.in/ and click on the link “Student Registration (For PracticeCenter)”

Step 2 Select login method: Gmail or Facebook

Step 3 Entering Gmail Username & Password: For Gmail, login candidate must enter email id & password.

Step 4 Selecting Gmail Account: After authentication candidate has to click on selected Gmail Id.

Step 5 Enter Personal Information: After login confirmation student will be redirected to the registration.

Step 6 Enter Contact Information: Candidate needs to enter contact information such  Email address, mobile number and residential address.

Step 7 Enter Academic Information: Candidate needs to enter academic information related to their School or Institute of the Qualifying Examination.

Step 8 Enter Exam Information: Candidate needs to enter exam information.

Step 9 Center Selection Dashboard List: The list of available center location sorted on the basis of Candidate‟s current geolocation will be made available.

Step 10 Candidate needs to select any 5 Centers in the order of preference.

Step 11  Candidate will need to select anyone sessions from the 6 sessions given.

Step 12 Review the Center Selection & Schedule Selection: Candidate needs to review the selection and after reviewing click on “Confirm Appointment”

Step 13 Center Selection Confirmation: Candidate will be able to see that the data entered has been submitted.

Step 14 Text of approval on Candidate‟s registered mobile number: Candidate gets the approval as SMS in the registered mobile number.

Step 15 Confirmation SMS on student‟s registered mobile number: Candidate will get the confirmation SMS on the registered mobile number. This SMS will be used for entry at the Centre. The SMS will be sent two days in advance along with an e-mail at the registered e-mail Id.

Step 16 In case the Candidate‟s center has not been confirmed an SMS of rescheduling the booking will be received by the Candidate.

Why take the NTA JEE Main 2019 is being conducted Online?

  • The online mode of the exam will ensure that high volume can be processed in a short period of time.
  • It will eliminate the leakage of questions/question papers, post-test malpractice of filling in the OMR sheets, late entry of students to cheat in the test, subjectivity errors on descriptive testing, etc.
  • The online testing will also indicate the number of concepts being tested in a question item.
  • In a short period of 3 Years, all the tests administered by NTA will be computer adaptive. This will completely eliminate the problem of cheating.

Online JEE Main 2019 Practice Test for Special category

The National testing Agency has been set up for fair opportunity among all candidates including those with special needs. Therefore in NTA JEE Main online exam, NTA will arrange for various facilities with candidates with special needs. These facilities include additional time for taking the test, availability of scribe and technical advantages like bigger fonts texts and customized presentation colours.

The objective of TPCs is primarily to familiarize the candidates for taking the upcoming NTA examinations in Computer Based Test Mode.

Norms for the candidate to register for a TPC

Those Candidates who want to register for Test Practice Center (TPC) through Mobile App will have to Search on Play Store for “NTA STUDENT APP”, click on the search result of NTA Student and install the application. The Registration Process for Test Practice Center (TPC) will be same as Registration done through Website. The Mobile App will include all the features as given above for registration through the website.

Whether the Test Practice Centre (TPC) will charge any fee from the candidates for Mock Test?

The facility of Mock Test for all the candidates will be completely free of cost and Test Practice Centre (TPC) will not charge any fee from the Candidate.

How many no. of attempts are allowed for students to appear in Mock Test in Test Practice Centre (TPC)?

There is no limit for the no. of attempts. Students can choose next date of Mock test after the completion of the previous test.

Is NTA is providing Free Coaching to the Students?

As of now, NTA is providing only free Mock Test to the students in Test Practice Centre (TPC). The same facility will also be available on the website www.nta.ac.in and NTA Student App. Initially, only one Mock Test is available for the Exams, viz. JEE (Main) & UGC-NET. The number will be gradually increased.

Can candidates change their Test Practice Centre (TPC) preferences after final submission of registration?

There is no facility to change the Test Practice Centre (TPC) preferences after final submission of registration. Candidate may get any of TPC out of the five preferences.

How will candidates know about the Test Date and Slot of Test Practice Centre (TPC)?

The candidates will receive the date and slot for practice at TPC through SMS/registered e-mail Id 48 hours before the scheduled slot in TPC. The same SMS will be used for entry at the Centre.

Can Students download Mock Test Content at home?

The student can also download the Mock Test Material to be made available in the website of NTA www.nta.ac.in w.e.f. 08.09.2018.

    • It is mandatory for the Photograph to have your name and date of taking the photograph. Although, the photograph is being accepted without these two on it, it will create a problem for you later during verification. The name on the photograph is taken to validate the identity of the candidate whereas the date has to be mentioned so that the official authority knows that your photograph is not older than 3 months.
      You will be able to change the uploaded image during form correction (8th – 14th October) or when NTA releases the window for correction in uploaded images.
      The Date on the photograph can be from July to September 2018.
