NTA 2019: NTA stands for National Testing Agency. National Testing Agency is set up as an Autonomous and self-sustained organization that is going to conduct national level tests mentioned above on a voluntary basis for the conduct of independent tests. The National Testing Agency is registered as a society under Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860. National Testing Agency has been established to develop and promote standard in educational and professional testing and assessment.
From 2019 onwards, the NTA will be conducting major national level examinations like JEE Main, NEET, GPAT, UGC NET, and CMAT. JEE Main and NEET will be conducted twice in a year. Now the CBSE will not be conducting these examinations and all the examinations will be conducted in the computer based mode of exam.

NTA 2019(JEE Mains)
The National Testing Agency will now be conducting the Joint Entrance Examination Main that was earlier conducted by CBSE. This national level engineering exam conducted for admission to IIITs, NITs, and CFTIs. The NTA JEE Main 2019 will be conducted twice in a year. The first and second session will be held on 6th – 20th January 2019 and 7th – 20th April 2019. The JEE Main 2019 will be organized in completely computer-based mode and the JEE Main 2019 admit card will be released on 20th March 2019.
Through the JEE Main 2019, candidates will be able to take admission in various participating engineering institutions. Each aspirant will be applicable for admission into these colleges only if they have attained at least 75% marks or they are in the top 20 percentile in the 12th level examination. For ST/SC candidates the minimum qualifying marks are 65%.

NTA 2019(NEET)
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 will not be conducted by National Testing Agency. The exam was previously conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in pen and paper-based mode. NTA NEET 2019 will now be held twice in online computer based mode.
The entrance exam of NEET will be conducted twice in a year on 3rd – 17th February 2019 and 12th – 25th May 2019. NEET entrance test is conducted to provide admission in various medical courses offered by various renowned medical Institutions across the country.

Other exams conducted by NTA (GPAT, CMAT, UGC NET)
Apart from JEE Main and NEET, the National testing Agency will also conduct various exams for management, pharmacy and exam to determine the eligibility of assistant professor. NTA will conduct exams like CMAT, GPAT and UGC NET. These entrance tests will also be conducted in the computer based mode.
GPAT 2019 by NTA
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national level entrance test organized every year to offer admission in M. Pharm programs in various AICTE approved Universities and colleges. The NTA (National Testing Agency) has taken the responsibility of conducting the exam from the year 2019. Important dates for GPAT have been released.
CMAT 2019 by NTA
The Common Management Admission Test is a national level computer-based management entrance test. The test will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Till 2018, CMAT was conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). It is a three-hour computer-based test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.

UGC NET 2018 by NTA
University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) is conducted for selection of candidates for Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor in Indian universities and colleges. Till now the CBSE was in charge of conducting the UGC NET. However, from the year 2019 onwards, NTA will conduct the UGC NET the schedule for which is given below.

Through the formation of NTA, the burden of conducting various exams by CBSE and other concerned authorities will be lessened. All candidates must make a note that although NTA will now conduct the above-mentioned examinations, there will be no change in the exam pattern, the syllabus and the marking scheme.
