NERIST 2020: North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology is a science and technology-oriented higher education institute in Arunachal Pradesh. It provides the base, diploma and graduation degree in technology streams and a degree in forestry. NERIST 2020 Application will start from January 2020. Every year NERIST conducts the entrance exam for the selection of the students in various fields. The entrance exam is named as NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE). The students have to fill an online application form in order to take admission. NERIST conducts the exam for selection of students at three Levels i.e NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III for base, diploma and graduation degree. Whereas Forestry stream selection is done through NEE-II (PCB). It has various centre for the entrance exam. Mainly the centres are located in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura.

The final selection of the students is done on the basis of merit. Reservation is put into consideration as per the State and Union Government rules. There is no official notification regarding the NERIST 2020. However tentative dates are taken into account. Students must read this article very carefully in order to get an overview of NEE.

NERIST 2020 Important Dates

Students must be aware of the dates if they are going to appear for the exam. NERIST has not released any dates regarding the admission procedure in 2020. The table given below shows the tentative dates that the students must take into account until the final call.

The above are just the months. There is no exact date mention by NERIST for the session 2020-21. Hence the above table is just for the general reference which the students have to keep in mind. This is so that students willing to appear for this college must start preparing for the entrance test.

What is Three Level Of Examination

NERIST conducts the entrance exam and on the basis of the entrance exam, the merit list is prepared. The level mention by the NERIST is applicable as per the courses. Have a brief view of the NERIST level.

NEE-I = Entry is done after the 10th pass for the Base Module Course. The base module in the technology stream is of 2 years. Passing the Base Module Course the students will have the NERIST Certificate.

NEE-II = Entry after 12th Board with PCM for Diploma Module. This course has a two-year tenure and gets the NERIST Diploma Degree.

NEE-III = Entry after diploma in AE/CE/CS/EC/EE/ME for Degree Courses. Students have a B.Tech degree on the completion of the course.

And for Forestry Stream, candidates can participate in the entrance exam after completing the 12th board with PCB ( Physics, Chemistry, Biology). Students get a B.Sc degree in forestry.

Eligibility Requirement For An Entry Into NERIST 2020

In order to be part of NERIST, students have to go through the entrance test. The test is done on the basis of the subject and courses. The eligibility requirement as per the courses are :

NEE-I

Students appearing for this level have to complete the Matriculation or equivalent exam with Science and Mathematics. They must clear the Class X exam

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2020 are 19 years for the students of the general category(GE) (born on or after 1st August 2000), 22 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August, 1997) and 24 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 1 st August, 1995).

NEE-II

There are three types of courses available through this entrance test.

1. NEE-II (PCM): Candidates must have cleared the 12th board with PCM ( Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)

2. NEE-II ( Vocational ): Students must have passed10+2(Vocational) / ITI / NERIST Certificate in any one of the branches / trades, viz., [Agricultural Engineering] Farm Equipment (FE) / Food Processing (FP); [Civil Engineering] Construction Technology i.e. Draftsmanship / Surveyor (CT); [Electronics and Communications Engineering] Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance (ET/EM); [Electrical Engineering] Electrical Technology or Electrical Maintenance (ET/EM); [Mechanical Engineering] Mechanical Craftsmanship (MC) / Automobile Technology (AT) and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&AC) are eligible.

3. NEE-II ( PCB): Candidates must clear the 12th board or the equivalent exam with PCB ( Physics, Chemistry, Biology)

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2020 are 23 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August 1996), 26 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August, 1993) and 28 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 1st August, 1991).

Note: Students who are selected for NEE-II (PCM ) and NEE-II (Vocational) have the choice of the branch during counseling out of the six branches AE, CE, CSE, EE, ECE and ME on the basis of their merit and reservation category.

NEE-III

Students must have completed a 3-year Diploma course from any Government recognized Polytechnic/institution in the respective or allied discipline. The minimum marks requirement is 60%

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July 2020 are 40 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August 1979), 43 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August, 1976) and 45 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 1st August, 1974).

How To Apply For NEE 2020

For the NERIST Application Form, students have to look at the procedure online. Candidates must have the following things before filling the application form.

The steps need to follow to fill the application form are:

  • First of all, students have to register themselves. They must register by visiting the official site of NERIST
  • An online application will be activated with the Email.id and activation code. Code which is sent once the registration is done. The registration completion is sent into the mail and mobile no.
  • Candidates have to select the program type and name. Before selecting the program, candidates must check the eligibility in terms of educational qualification and age criteria.
  • Students have to confirm the eligibility criteria and the next web page will appear.
  • Click on the “ Application details “ and the form will appear in front of the screen. Candidates need to fill the details asked in the form
  • Then they have to upload the Scanned Photograph, signature as specified above
  • Fill the Academic details
  • Choose the examination centre preference
  • Once all the procedure is done, candidates must review the form and check whether the information filled is correct or not. If anything detected then immediately do the correction. This is because once the final submission is done then no changes can be made.
  • Lastly, pay the application fee through Net banking/Credit and Debit card.

Fees differ as per the category. Candidates who belong to reserved category will have to pay Rs 600 + payment gateway charges. General candidates have to spend Rs 1000 as the application fee.

Exam Pattern For NERIST 2020

Students have to go through the entrance exam, merit list, and counseling procedure in order to take the admission in the NERIST. So students must prepare well for the exam as per the given schedule. The exam will be consist of 150 marks. The segregation of marks is done as per the subject and courses. NERIST Admit Card 2020

NERIST Admit Card is the most important document to carry the exam. Students need to have the admit card along with them if they are going to write the exam. Failing to have the admit card, candidates won’t be allowed to have the exam. This is because the hall ticket is the identity of the candidates. It contains a multiple of information in it. Information such as Candidates name, photograph, signature, date of exam, centre name, roll no. etc are mentioned. Examiners check the admit card before the commencement of the exam. If there is any kind of forgery in the exam ticket then the invigilator will reject the student from sitting into the exam. NERIST Admit Card 2020 is tentatively out in April 2020.

So check the hall ticket accordingly.

NERIST Exam Centre 2020

It is the state’s big examination in the field of science and technology. Thousands of students enroll every year for the admission in NERIST. Thus the exam is conducted over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura. Around these states to a total of 14 centers are made. NERIST will release the result once the exam is over. The NERIST Result 2020 will be available online on the official site of the NERIST. NERIST Merit List 2020

Once the result is on the site or board, the merit list will be prepared by the concerned authority. They will prepare the list on the basis of multiple things. Those things are Marks, Reservation, Seat Availability, and State Preference. There is a relaxation of marks and seats reserved for the reserved category. Keeping all the above facts the list is prepared.

NERIST Counseling 2020

NEE counseling will start once the result is announced. Name of the students who will get selected and are on the waiting list will be presented along with day and time in the counseling. While going for the counseling, candidates are required to have the document in original as well as in copy form. Must have a community certificate along with recent size photographs. There are many other things which they need to carry at the time of verification. NEE counseling 2020 will tentatively be held in July 2020.
