MCU Selection Procedure – UG and PG Admission
Admission to all courses except M.Phil (Media Studies) takes place on the basis of Merit. However, for M.Phil, the selection is based on the entrance test. For Undergraduate courses (if class XII results have not been declared till the last date of application) then the merit will be based on marks obtained in class 10th and 11th. The merit for postgraduate courses will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the Graduate Exam OR on the basis of marks obtained in Class 12th, First Year and Second Year Marks (if the results of the undergraduate examination have not been declared till the last date of application).
Candidates can apply even if the result of the final semester of your class XII, graduate, or postgraduate examination has not yet been released. But if your final exam result is released before the last date of application, you must enter the marks in your online application on the basis of your application number. MCU Mass Communication Application Form 2025
The Makhanlal Chaturvedi University releases the application form on its official website- mcu.ac.in. Students who meet the criteria can submit the form. - The application fees for unreserved category candidates is Rs 300 (Rs 50 for Portal Fee included)

MCU Bhopal Entrance Admission Exam Pattern
MCU Admission Process includes an Entrance Test followed by an Interview Round. Students who are appearing for the exam must know the exam pattern of the University so that they can prepare well for the exam. Hence, the MCU Bhopal Exam Pattern is as follows-
- The Exam will take place offline.
- Time Duration of the Exam is 2 Hours for One Paper and 30 Minutes Extra for additional paper.
- A total of 150 Objective Based Questions will be asked in the exam.
- Each Question carries 1 mark. Thus, the total marks of the question paper are 150 marks.
- However, there is no negative marking for any wrong answers.
