J&K Polytechnic 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must fulfill the below-mentioned J&K PET 2020 eligibility criteria to attend the entrance exam. Also, for admission to J&K Diploma Course in any one of the participating institutions. J&K Polytechnic 2020 Application Form

The J&K PET 2020 invites the application form in an online mode only for Polytechnic course 2020 tentatively from January 2020. Candidates must fill in the J&K Diploma Polytechnic application form online before March 2020. However, they must fill up the online application form of J&K PET 2020 only after checking the above-mentioned eligibility criteria.

To register for the offline entrance test, follow the steps given below:

  • Read the instruction carefully and click on the “Apply Now” option.
  • Then, create a “login ID” and “password” by registering yourself.
  • Further, fill in the application form by entering the personal details and academic qualification.
  • Subsequently, upload the scanned image of the recent passport size photograph and signature.
  • Then pay the application fee.
  • Finally, download the application form and take the printout of the same for future use.

Application Fee Payment: The application fee payment of amount Rs.400/- will have to be made by the candidate in online mode through debit/ credit cards or net banking.

J&K PET 2020 Syllabus

The J&K Diploma Polytechnic syllabus comprises of the subjects such as English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The authority will prepare the syllabus from 10th class. The questions are based on various topics. It tests knowledge, understanding and application of the relevant subject that a student is expected to possess. J&K Polytechnic 2020 Admit Card

The official examination authority will release the J&K Diploma Polytechnic admit card on March 2020.  Only registered candidates for J&K PET 2020, can access their Hall Ticket in online mode by visiting the link given here and by entering the unique registration number (generated during application form filling). Hall Ticket contains the exam centre details, important guidelines and other details. The students should take the printout of admit card and carry the admit card on the day of examination.

J&K Polytechnic 2020 Answer Key

After the conclusion of the Entrance Test, the J&K PET 2020 answer key shall be displayed on the official website. It will be available for three days so that a candidate finds any discrepancy in the Question Paper and Answer Key can submit grievances. Also, along with proper proof from standard textbook within three working days after the test is over in the BOPEE’s office at Srinagar or Jammu. The representations will be consolidated and referred to the experts whose opinion will be final. The revised key, if any, will be uploaded on the website and thereafter no complaint will be entertained.

J&K Polytechnic Result 2020

The J&K polytechnic result will be available in the third week of April 2020. Candidates who take the test can check their scorecard by visiting the official website. Students will further be called for the counselling on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam. The result will contain the marks obtained in the test.

J&K PET 2020 Merit List

  • Merit list of J&K Polytechnic 2020 shall be subsequently prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10th class) by the candidates, in the case entrance examination is not conducted.
  • Also, if the entrance examination is conducted, the selection of candidates for admission to the programme will depend on their performance at the entrance test and eligibility.
  • Furthermore, the Board shall prepare the list in order of inter-se merit of candidates in the entrance test in descending order for the general category and similarly for each reserved category separately.
  • However, for the purposes of allotment of seats to the reserved category candidates in Government Polytechnic Colleges, inter-se-merit within each reserved category shall further be taken into consideration;
  • So, in the event of the number of candidates belonging to a reserved category being less than the number of seats available for the category, then the resultant vacancies must be filled from amongst the candidates figuring in the open merit category. Furthermore, it will be strictly in order of merit.

J&K Polytechnic 2020 Counselling

Admission of candidates in all the Polytechnics/Technological Institutions for the Academic Session 2020-21 will be made through counselling. The detailed information regarding the counselling schedule of J&K Polytechnic will be provided once released. The shortlisted candidates must report to the counselling venue which will be uploaded on the official website.

At the time of certificate verification at helpline centres, candidates must produce the following original certificates in support of the qualification and reservations claimed in the application for verification. The authority will prepare the merit list for selecting the candidates for the admission. The J&K PET 2020 merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidate’s marks obtained in the qualifying exam or entrance test.

Documents required at the time of admission in the institution:

(i) A printed copy of J&K PET 2020 Hall Ticket and application form.

(ii) Mark sheet of the Qualifying class 10 Examination.

(iii) Date of Birth Certificate (SSC/Matriculation or equivalent Certificate).

(iv) Community/ Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC/EBC/ Minority candidates. (if applicable)

(v) 2 recent colour passport size photograph.

(vi) Physical fitness certificate from an Asst. Civil Surgeon.

(vii) One set of Photocopies of all the above certificates.

J&K PET 2020 Seat reservation

The reservation of seats in the Government Polytechnic colleges is given in the table below. The provisions of reservation are not applicable for admissions in private Polytechnic Colleges. The Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) is applicable to all the Polytechnic Colleges, Private as well as Government Benefit of reservation in Government Colleges. It includes the Tuition Fee Waiver, which shall be available only if the category of the candidate is mentioned in the Online Application Form. However, request at any stage for change or inclusion of category shall not be entertained.
