JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Mode of the Exam

The NTA JEE Main 2019 for paper 1 (engineering) will be held in the computer-based mode. Each student will be required to mark the answers in already downloaded answer sheets. However, there has been no announcement for candidates applying to B. Plan or B. Arch course through JEE Main 2019. The architecture candidates have a different exam pattern which includes drawing also. And since the NTA JEE Main 2019 will be completely computer based, a student is likely to ask, “how will I take the drawing test in CBT Mode?

In such a situation it is anticipated that Architecture aspirants will have to take the drawing test in pen and paper-based mode only. If the candidate has to take the architecture exam in the computer-based mode, he/she will find it extremely difficult to draw on the computer with the help of a mouse. It is likely that Paper 2 of JEE Main 2019 will be conducted in computer-based mode for mathematics and aptitude test and the drawing test will be held in offline mode or the entire JEE Main paper 2 for Architecture will be conducted offline (pen and paper-based). Therefore, students applying for B. Arch/B. Plan through JEE Main 2019 must prepare accordingly.

How to prepare for Paper 2 in JEE Main 2019? Tips to Score Better Marks

There are around 900 seats in B. Plan and B. Arch course offered at the participating NITs and CFTIs that accept the JEE Main score. If candidates are preparing to take Paper 2 they need to go the extra mile. And if the applicant is appearing for both Paper 1 and 2 of JEE Main 2019, he/she will be required to put in double the efforts. Candidates can follow the steps given below to excel in Paper 2 of JEE Main 2019.

  1. Candidates should first start by making a study timetable on a daily basis. This will help them divide their time and know the topics that they need to focus on during preparation.
  2. If candidates need some guidance about the Drawing test section, they must support their study material with Engineering Drawing books.
  3. The Drawing section will analyze the design ideas of the candidates. Therefore, candidates must make sure to study the given objects closely.
  4. Aspirants must collect the right study material for preparation of Aptitude test which will test the candidate’s Awareness of Places, persons, buildings and materials, Mental Ability, Analytical Reasoning, etc.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 will contain 3 parts. Keeping in mind the situation of Paper 2 aspirants, it is likely that the exam will be held in offline mode or the drawing test alone will be held in offline mode. Candidates are still speculative about the mode in which the architecture exam will be held as there has been no official notification published for the same. We will provide relevant and updated information once they are released by the NTA.
