IIMC 2020 Registration @iimc.nic.in

The application fee of IIMC 2020 is Rs.1500 for the general category and Rs.1000 for SC/ST/OBC category that can be paid either via net banking or debit card/credit card. IIMC entrance exam will be held on June 20 and June 21, 2020 in offline mode. The candidate must fill the Application Form and appear for the entrance exam for the admission. After the completion of the entrance test, the authorities will shortlist the candidates for the group discussion and personal interview. What is IIMC Entrance Test?

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication is responsible for conducting the IIMC Entrance Test. Through the entrance test, candidates can get admission to various Post-Graduate Diploma Courses. However, the exam will be conducted offline. IIMC conducts a prestigious Diploma Course in Development Journalism for mid-career journalists from Non-aligned and Developing Countries. The course is organized under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) and the Special Commonwealth African Assistant Plan (SCAAP) programmes of the Ministry of External Affairs. This course, which is of four months duration, is organized twice a year from January to April and again from August to December every year.

IIMC Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria 2020

The candidates who will be applying for the entrance test conducted by the Indian Institute of Mass communication will have to go through the eligibility criteria and must make sure that they fulfill all the defined conditions. The authorities will prescribe the eligibility in the Information Brochure. The Information Brochure will release with the Application Form. The candidates not fulfilling the eligibility cannot proceed with the admission further.

  • Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Maximum Age: Candidates must have been born on or after 1st August 1993 (1st August 1988 in case of SC/ST/PH and 1st August 1990 in case of OBC).
  • Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian national.

IIMC Entrance Exam Application Form 2020

The Application Form of IIMC Exam 2020 will be released in an online mode on the official website of the Institute and the candidates who are planning on appearing for the entrance test will have to fill up the Application and submit it before the due date. The candidate can appear for the entrance exam after submitting the Application Form successfully. The candidate must fill the Application Form carefully and must avoid any form of error. The authorities will release the Information Brochure with the Application Form. The applicant must read the brochure thoroughly to avoid any form of mistake while filling the IIMC Registration Form 2020.

The candidate must provide the correct and valid information in the Indian Institute of Mass communication Application Form. The authorities will cross check the details in the form at the time of the final admission. The candidate cannot proceed with the admission further if there is any error. The candidate must provide the  Personal Details, Contact Detail, Academic information, uploading the photograph and the signature in the Application Form. The final submission is after the Application Fee payment. The authorities will not accept the incomplete Application Forms. Also, the final submission of the Application Form will only be after the payment of the Application Fee.

Important Note

Candidates have to submit separate application form for each course. The applicants have to submit one application form for Journalism (Hindi), or Journalism (English) as the written entrance exam. Similarly, the candidates can submit only one form for Journalism (Urdu)/Journalism (Odia)/Marathi/Malayalam.

The Application Form Fees for the General Candidates is Rs 1500/- and the cost of the registration fees for ST/SC/PBC/PWD Candidates is Rs 1000/-.

IIMC Entrance Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2020

The candidates who will be appearing for the entrance test will have to make themselves aware of the pattern of the question paper as prescribed by the Departments of Indian Insititute of Mass Communication. The prior preparation and the knowledge of the pattern of the exam will help the candidate in qualifying the paper and being eligible to appear for the Interview round. The candidate must note that they must qualify the entrance exam to appear for the Interview round. The candidates can check the previous year question paper available online. It will also be important to go through the current affairs, latest movies and trends, the section of the question paper will also consist of the logical and reasoning questions.

The pattern of the question paper shall be descriptive in nature and the question paper shall contain questions concerning Current affairs, movies, trends, review of scripts, etc. There shall be a particular number of questions to choose from.

The authorities will conduct the interview round after the entrance exam. The final selection of the candidate is after both the rounds.

IIMC Exam Admit Card 2020

Indian Insititute of Mass Communication will be releasing the Admit Card of the entrance test in an online mode on the official website of the University. Candidates who have successfully submitted the Application Form will be eligible to download the copy of the Admit Card. The candidate must provide the correct credentials in the Admit card login link. The IIMC Admit card is an important document which has to be presented on the day of the exam by the candidate at the examination center, the entry in the center will be prohibited otherwise and the candidate will not be able to give the entrance test. The officially released Admit card will mention all the important details which will be relevant for the candidates appearing for the exam.

The Admit card contains all the details regarding your Name, Roll No., Course, Examination center, etc. It is mandatory that you bring the admit card to the examination center on the day of the Entrance Exam. The candidate must contact the examination authorities immediately if there is an error in the details on the Admit card. You shall also be required to attach a photograph of yourself on the given space. The candidates are required to get the multiple copies of the Admit card, in case the one downloaded gets lost or damaged on the day of the examination.

IIMC Entrance Exam Result 2020

The Result of IIMC Exam will be released in an online mode and the candidates who have appeared for the exam will be eligible to check whether they are qualified to take admission to the course or not. The availability of the Result link will be as per on the scheduled date as announced by the examination conducting body of the Institute. Candidates will have to appear for the two rounds of the exam, one will be the written test and another one will be the Interview round which will be the final round of selection. Only those candidates who have qualified the written exam will be eligible for the Interview round.  The final selection will be on the basis of the marks secured in an Interview round.

The declaration of the Result of IIMC 2020 will be in a form of a Merit List and the candidates will be able to check the Result by providing the credentials in the Login section of the Result which is valid and correct. The Result will not be downloaded otherwise. The list which will be declared will only consist of the names of the candidates who have been selected for admission to the course. The selected ones have to report at the Insititute for the final admission along with the admission fee. The details regarding the time period provided for the admission will also be mentioned in the Result PDF.

Interview round for IIMC 2020 Admissions

The final admission to the applied Diploma Courses in Indian Insititute of Mass communication will be on the basis of the Interview round which will be held by the faculties of the concerned Department. The candidates who have successfully passed the written exam will be called for the Interview round at the allotted center at the allotted time. The candidates will have to appear for the IIMC Interview/Group Discussion with all the required documents which will be provided in the notification released for the Interview round. After the Interview round, the Final Merit List or the Result will be released and the candidates who will be mentioned in the list will be provided with the final admission to the applied course.

Final Merit List of IIMC Entrance Exams 2020 and Counselling

  • After the interview round, the final merit list shall be declared based on the marks scored by the candidate collective of the Written test and the personal interview.
  • The candidates selected for admission must be present at the allotted institute on the assigned day to complete the formalities regarding admission. They must download their Rank cards from the official website and carry all their original documents.
  • The admission shall be finalized on payment of the admission fees.
