Important Update about CMC Vellore MBBS Admission 2018
Registered candidates of CMC Vellore for the academic session 2018-19 can now upload their NEET 2018 Rank and score on the official website. The candidates can upload their NEET 2018 Rank and score obtained from 4th June to 18th June 2018 between 8 am to 10pm by entering application number and date of birth.

As per the official notification released on 27th February 2018, the MBBS applicants must fill up the application form within the below-mentioned dates. They will be able to submit NEET UG 2018 Exam score after the date of announcement of NEET UG 2018 result. The NEET 2018 result is likely to be announced in the 1st week of June 2018. The applicants have to submit their NEET UG 2018 Score within two weeks from the date of announcement of result. Total 100 (16 open and 84 sponsored) seats are available for MBBS course in the Institute.

CMC Vellore MBBS 2018 Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for CMC Vellore MBBS Admission 2018, the applicants need to possess the below-mentioned eligibility criteria. If the candidate satisfies the conditions, then only he/ she can get admission into MBBS programme for the academic year 2018-19 into this institute.

CMC Vellore MBBS Application form 2018
The application form for CMC Vellore MBBS Admission 2018 has been released. The last date to Apply is March 26th, 2018. Aspirants must read the above-mentioned eligibility criteria carefully before going to fill up the application form. To fill in the application form, follow the steps given below:-
- Go to the official website of CMC Vellore.
- Read the instruction carefully and click on “Apply Now” option.
- Create a “login ID” and “password” by registering yourself.
- Fill in the application form by entering the personal details and academic qualification.
- Payment of application fee.
- Download the application form and take the printout of the same for future use.
NOTE 2: When applying for more than one course, candidates must list the course in the order of preference in the application form.
Correction in Application Form: Once you have submitted the online application form, you cannot edit it. If necessary, then take the printout of the application form, make the correction in the red ink, sign and send the application to the registrar before the last date.
Application Fee
The candidates can pay application fee via both in the online and offline mode according to their suitability. The amount to be paid is provided in the table below:

Offline mode: A challan will be generated when filling payment details in the application form. Please mention FC-CMC-V on the challan. Send the original challan to this office before 2nd April 2018.
Online mode: The application fee can be paid via online mode using debit card/ credit card or net banking.
CMC Vellore MBBS Selection Process
NEET (UG)-2018 Score submission:
All registered applicants have to submit their NEET (UG)-2018 score at the official website before the last date specified. All admissions are based on inter-se merit.
Merit List of CMC Vellore MBBS Programme
Selections are based on two broad categories- Open and Sponsored. Selection will be based on inter-se merit within the groups. For MBBS course the seats are further subdivided into groups as follows:
Open: 16 seats, where SC/ST reservation of 20% applies (3 seats), and 1 seat is earmarked for the “Central Pool Scheme” by the Government of India.
Sponsored: 84 seats are filled by sponsored candidates (read below to know about it).
Reporting to the Institute
Selected candidates must report at the time and place specified to register for the respective courses. Failure to complete registration formalities will lead to cancellation of selection and registration of waitlisted candidates instead.
Withdrawal of Seat
Two waiting lists will be maintained for the MBBS course– Open and Sponsored. If a candidate withdraws from a course, the next candidate on the respective waiting list will fill that seat. However, if there are no more candidates on that particular waitlist, the next candidate from the other list will be invited to join.
Foreign national & residents
All candidates go through the same admission procedure. There is no NRI quota. For candidates who have studied abroad, the equivalency of qualification as determined by the Association of Indian Universities will form the guidelines to determine the eligibility. Please note that candidates who have qualified overseas must get in touch with the Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University Chennai. Non–Indian nationals applying for MBBS will have to obtain a minimum of marks at 50th percentile in the NEET UG 2018 exam. If they are offered a seat in the college, it is the responsibility of the candidate to get necessary clearances and certificates within a stipulated time limit.
Sponsorship
- Total 84 out of 100 seats are filled by sponsored candidates in the Institute. The aim of the Christian Medical College, Vellore is to train individuals for service in needy areas, especially in Christian mission hospitals. To this end, Christian students are encouraged to apply, to be considered under the sponsored category.
- No sponsored candidate shall be considered for admission to MBBS unless they obtain a minimum of marks at 50 percentile in the NEET UG 2018 exam. The candidate should also fulfil the requirements of the certifying board.
- All candidates who are selected for MBBS course in the College shall execute with their sponsoring body and the College, legally valid agreements on appropriate stamp paper within 2 weeks of their selection. The College will get the students to execute the agreement written on behalf of the sponsoring bodies. Failure to execute the agreement will result in the candidate forfeiting the seat.
- Candidates who have applied for and are not eligible for sponsorship will be considered under the open category.
