CIT Kokrajhar Entrance Exam 2020 – Central Institute of Technology at Kokrajhar district is a public engineering institution established by the government of India in 2006. It is situated in the north-eastern state of Assam. It conducts the Central Institute of Technology Entrance Examination (CITEE) to shortlist the candidates for admission to 3 years of Diploma courses in the below-listed streams. However, only registered candidates who have filled the CITEE Application Form will be eligible to sit for the exam. Subsequently, the authority will release the CITEE Admit Card. The examination of CITEE which was to be conducted on 19th July 2020 has been postponed until further notice.

Distribution of Seats

Out of the total number of seats in Diploma Programme, 85% of the seats are offered through Central Institute of Technology Entrance Examination (CITEE) conducted by CIT, Kokrajhar and remaining 15% of the seats are offered through Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) conducted by State Council of Technical Education, Assam.

CITEE Eligibility Criteria 2020

The official examination conducting authority prepares a set of  CITEE eligibility criteria that a candidate has to possess in order to apply and attend the CITEE 2020. There are various diploma courses offered via CITEE 2020 score. The candidates who are interested should check the eligibility criteria and then apply for cit kokrajhar entrance exam 2020.   • Candidates must have passed HSLC or equivalent with 45% marks in aggregate and 50% of marks in Science, Mathematics (or Advanced Mathematics) and English taken together for GEN/OBC candidates (relaxed up to 5% of marks for ST/SC/PWD candidates).
  • Admission into any of the diploma/degree programme of the institute is subject to the candidates being declared medically fit by the Institute Medical officer or a medical officer of Govt. Hospital for the purpose. Necessary fees as prescribed by the medical officer shall have to be paid by the candidates for such test.

CITEE Application Form 2020

The interested candidate can apply for CITEE Application Form 2020 both in offline and online mode according to their suitability. Before filling up the CITEE registration form, the candidates must check the eligibility criteria mentioned above. The application form of CITEE were released in March 2020. The candidates can apply latest by 31st August 2020 for both online and offline mode. The procedure to apply in both the modes is provided below.

To apply via online mode:

  • Go to the link given at the top of this page. It will redirect to the official registration page.
  • Read the instruction carefully and click on “Apply Now” option.
  • Create a “login ID” and “password” by registering yourself.
  • Fill in the application form by entering the personal details and academic qualification.
  • Payment of application fee.
  • Download the CITEE application form and take the printout of the same for future use.

NOTE 1: Candidates need to print and send a hard copy of the online application form to “THE MEMBER SECRETARY, ADMISSION COMMITTEE, CIT, KOKRAJHAR, BTAD, ASSAM-783370”, by registered/speed/general post on or before April 2020. The form should accompany with the entrance examination fees receipt paid through SBI, E-Collect.

NOTE 2: The application fee payment will have to be made by the candidate in online mode through debit/ credit cards or net banking. The amount to be paid as registration fee for CITEE 2020 is provided in the table below:

How To Apply For CITEE Offline Application Form 2020

The application form should be properly filled in original and submitted to “The Member Secretary, Admission Committee, CIT, Kokrajhar, BTAD, Assam 783370 by registered/speed/general post tentatively on or before 31st August 2020. However, the duly filled application form may also be submitted to the ADMISSION CELL, CIT, KOKRAJHAR by hand on or before the last date. Application forms received or submitted after the last date shall be rejected. The application form can be obtained from the selling centers by paying Rs 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) for GEN/OBC candidates and Rs 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) for SC/ST/PWD.

CITEE Syllabus 2020

The latest revised syllabus on Mathematics, Chemistry and Physical Science of class 10 under the Board of Secondary Education, Assam will be followed for CITEE 2020. The candidates who are going to attend the CITEE 2020, must check the CITEE exam syllabus carefully. Therefore, we have provided the CIT 2019 Brochure below. CITEE CET Admit Card/ Hall Ticket 2020

Admit card will be issued to the candidates who have registered for CITEE 2020. The registered candidate can view and download the admit card for CITEE 2020 by entering the application form number and registered mobile number. Link to download the hall ticket will be provided here when it gets released. The CITEE Admit Card will carry details like the name of the candidate, roll number, date and time of the test and address of the exam center. The applicants must carry the CITEE hall ticket on the examination day. However, the Admit Card will not be sent to the candidates by Post/Email/SMS etc.

CITEE Result 2020

The result of CITEE 2020 exam will be available in August 2020. The candidates who took the test can check their scorecard by visiting the official website. However, only those candidates will be able to download their result who filled the application form. In order to check the result of CITEE, the candidates must provide the required credentials. However, they must make sure that the information provided is valid. Otherwise, they will not be able to access the CITEE result. The candidates must subsequently also save & download the CITEE 2020 Result for future purposes. Students will be called for the counselling on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam. The CITEE Result will contain the marks obtained in the test.

CITEE Admission Selection Process 2020

The selection of aspiring candidates for admission shall be based on their performance in the Entrance Examinations. However, the candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria of Essential Educational Qualification and Age Limit. The selection will be based on merit separately for all regions and reservation categories. Candidates who fail to furnish the proofs for their claims in respect of reservation of seat pertaining to region and category will not be considered eligible for CITEE admission.

CITEE Merit list 2020

A single merit/ranking list will be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in the Entrance examination. The ranking for CITEE 2020 will depend on the total marks obtained in the entrance exam, then in the order of individual marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, in cases whereby the total marks obtained are the same.

CITEE Admission Procedure 2020

A candidate may be admitted into the Diploma program of CIT in two ways. The candidate has to clear the CITEE 2020 entrance examination followed by counselling at CIT, Kokrajhar. The second way is to appear in Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) 2020 conducted by Director, State Council for Technical Education (SCTE), Guwahati, Assam. The candidates appearing in PAT are to attend CITEE counselling called by SCTE whereby their eligibility would be verified and their admission forwarded to CIT, Kokrajhar.

Admission of candidates in all the Polytechnics/Technological Institutions for the Academic Session 2020-2021 for them mentioned hereinafter will be made through CITEE counselling. The detailed information regarding the counselling dates of CITEE will be provided when it releases. The shortlisted candidates must report to the counselling venue which will be uploaded on the official website. At the time of certificate verification at helpline centers, candidates should produce the following original certificates in support of the qualification and reservations claimed in the application for verification.

  1. A printed copy of the CITEE 2020 Hall Ticket and application form.
  2. Mark sheet of the Qualifying class 10 Examination.
  3. Date of Birth Certificate (SSC/Matriculation or equivalent Certificate).
  4. Community/ Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in case of SC/ST/BC/EBC/ Minority candidates. (if applicable)
  5. 2 recent colour passport size photograph.
  6. Physical fitness certificate from an Asst. Civil Surgeon.
  7. One set of Photocopies of all the above certificates.

CITEE Seat Reservation 2020

The government of Assam has reserved the seat for the candidates belonging to reservation category. Candidates have to mention their reservation category while filling the application form of CITEE 2020. Students claiming reservation are required to produce valid supporting documents in the prescribed format at the time of CITEE 2020 Counselling in order to avail the benefit of reserved seats.
