WBUTTEPA B.Ed Admission Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who will be taking the WBUTTEPA B.Ed Exam must check the eligibility criteria. The ineligible candidates will be disqualified from participating in the admission process. • In order to apply, the candidate must be a graduate in a school subject from a recognized university.
• The candidate must have secured at least 50% marks either in Bachelor’s Degree(General) / or in the Master’s Degree in school subjects.
• The candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technology with Science/Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent can apply. They must enter the marks of B.E/B.Tech in the row of Honours Degree. Furthermore, M.E./M.Tech Result (if any) must be entered in the Master’s Degree row.
• The honors graduates in school subject must only enter the honors marks in the row of Bachelor’s degree (Honours)
• Furthermore, in the case of General Graduates, the total marks obtained in general subjects must be entered in the row of Bachelor’s degree (General)
• The candidates who scored less than 50% marks in honors degree, their total marks of pass & honors subject will be considered. However, if it becomes 50% or more, then the score will be entered in Graduation (General) row.

WBUTTEPA B.Ed Admission Application Form 2025

The candidates who wish to take admission in WBUTTEPA B.Ed must fill up the application form. The WBUTTEPA B.Ed admission form will be available online. The WBUTTEPA B.Ed Application Form will be available from the month of September. The candidates must subsequently fill-up the form before the last date. 3. Certificate from Competent Authority whether the candidate teaches in Class VI or above.
4. Three copies of passport size photographs of the applicant.
5. Deputation form duly filled in (available from the Institution after admission)
6. A certificate with the following information is to be submitted from the Secretary or Headmaster/Headmistress (where he/she is serving) and countersigned by the D.I. of Schools of the District concerned:
   • A Certified that the School is in receipt of aid on full/ deficit/ lumpsum grant basis or that school in unaided or salary deficit scheme one.
   • Certified that she/he is duly approved teacher.
   • A Certified that she/he is duly approved teacher.
   • Certified that she/he is being deputed by the school for undergoing two-year B.Ed. Courses (2025-22)

NOTE: The candidates who are pursuing any other course in WBUTTEPA or any other University during the session 2025-21 will not be eligible for admission to B.Ed Programmes.

WBUTTEPA B.ED Admission Reservation Criteria

The authority reserves a certain percentage of seats for the underprivileged categories. Therefore, to help the candidates, we have provided the seat reservation criteria. check further below.

• The seats reserved for SC/ST/PWD (With Minimum 40% disability) will be per Govt. Rules. However, the reservation stated is not applicable for Self- Financed Colleges.
• The relaxation of 5% in the qualifying exam, will be allowed in graduation/Postgraduation. This will be in the case if the candidate belongs to SC/ST/PWD category with a minimum 40% disability. Furthermore, in such cases, a minimum of 45 % marks will be required instead of 50% marks.
