Mass Communication & Journalism (MCJ)Candidates with BCJ degree from the Gauhati University or PGDJMC from IODL, GU/IGNOU/Dibrugarh University may be allowed Lateral Entry into the final year of the module of the MCJ Programme.
Master of Computer Application (MCA)Candidates with a PGDCA  degree from any recognized university or BCA/B.Sc.(IT)/B.Sc.(CS)/DOEACC ‘A’ Level may be allowed Lateral Entry into the 3rd semester of the MCA program.

Gauhati IDOL Application Form

The candidates desirous to take admission into the programs offered by IDOL, Gauhati University have to fill the application form for IDOL Gauhati University MA Admission. One can obtain the application form for admission along with the prospectus from GU IDOL Office or any of the authorized study centre approved by GUIDOL on payment of Rs.200/-. Procedure to fill the Application Form

The Admission Council will release the application form offline. Therefore, the candidates can collect the application form from the university office. After getting the application form, they need to fill the essential details correctly. They must read all the instructions very carefully before filling the application form. Gauhati IDOL 2025 Admission Procedure

IODL, Gauhati University offers admission in two modes namely On-the-Spot Admission & Online Admission.

On-the-Spot Admission

The candidates who want to go for on-the-spot admission have to follow the steps given below.

  • The candidates who are eligible for admission can visit GUIDOL Office or any of the authorized study centre for on-the-spot admission.
  • The Application form and prospectus can be obtained from the office of GUIDOL or from any of the approved GUIDOL study centres on the payment of Rs. 200/-.

Documents required for On-the-spot Admission

The candidates are required to carry the following documents for on-the-spot admission:

  • Marksheets of the qualifying examination.
  • 2 copies of recent passport size photograph (3cm x 3.5cm)
  • Registration certificate of Gauhati University (for graduates of G.U. only)
Note: Admission into M.Sc.(IT) will be made on the basis of the selection test conducted by IDOL, Gauhati University. The candidates seeking admission have to qualify the test and obtain minimum marks for selection.

Online Admission

The candidates who want to go for admission through online mode have to follow the process mentioned below:

  • Visit the website (www.idolsrm.in)
  • Go to the ‘Student’ link.
  • Go for the ‘Self Enrollment’.
  • Fill the required information on the Student Enrollment Sheet.
  • Check the information entered and ‘Submit’.
  • Filled in sheet will appear in PDF format.
  • Save the PDF copy of the form.
  • The candidates are required to send the PDF copy of the form along with the Demand Draft for the requisite fee in favour of The Director, GUIDOL payable at Guwahati.
  • The candidates should keep print out of the form with the Reference number to track the status in future.
  • On receipt of the form by post/or hand along with the required fee, the candidate’s admission will be approved.
  • After the approval of the admission, the applicant will get roll number.

IDOL Guwahati Hall Ticket

The candidates who are going to appear in the semester/entrance exam must download the IDOL Guwahati Hall Ticket 2025. The Controller of Examinations will upload the Admit Card for various courses. Therefore, the candidates must download the hall ticket from the official website. However, they can also collect the admit card personally from the office window. Admit card is an essential document for any exam. Without a valid admit card, no candidates can enter the examination hall. Therefore, the applicants must necessarily download the hall ticket before appearing for the exam. They must carry the hall ticket on the day of the exam.

Guwahati IDOL Results 2025

After the completion of the exam, the eligible students can check their results online. The officials will release the IDOL Guwahati Results 2025 online on its official website.
