Utkal University PG Eligibility 2025
The applicants, who wish to study at the university must make sure that they are eligible enough as per the prescribed criteria. The course-wise eligibility criteria are mentioned below
M.Sc:
- The candidate must have pursued of Hons. / Spl. Hons. / Graduation degree under the pattern of 10+2+3 from any relevant /concerned subject from a recognized university.
- One must have passed the qualifying examination with an aggregate of 50%marks.
- The applicant, who wishes to pursue the course of Anthropology must possess a degree of Honours in Anthropology /least second class Honours in the following subjects: Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, History, and Geography with Anthropology as one of the subject with at least 50% marks/ Second Class Honours in Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Microbiology and Geology are eligible
- The contender, who aspires to take admission in the course of Geography must have a degree in Geography /Second Class Honours in any subject with Geography as one of the subjects at graduation level (Arts/Science) Level.
- One wishing to take admission in Biotechnology must possess a +3 degree in Physical / Biological Sciences with at least 55% marks in B.Sc. and Biology / Biotechnology as one of the subjects in +2 level are eligible
MA:
- Candidate must have hold of Hons. / Spl. Hons. / Graduation degree under 10+2+3 pattern the relevant /concerned subject from a recognized university.
- Candidate must have passed the qualifying degree with minimum 50%marks (45 % for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled etc)
- One, who wishes to take admission in the course of Ancient. Indian History, Culture & Archaeology must have secured at least 50% in his/ her qualifying examination.
- The applicant wishing to take admission in Public administration must have obtained 50% in his/ her qualifying examination with the subjects of Political Science.
- In order to take admission in the course of Sociology, the candidates must have a Second class Honours in Sociology or at least 50% of marks in aggregate with Honours in Anthropology, Political Science, Economics or Psychology.
- The applicant, who want to pursue the course of Psychology must possess a Graduation with Psychology as a subject having at least 2nd class Honours or at least 50% aggregate marks at +3 Degree level.
Master of Library and Information Science [M.Lib]:
- The applicant must have a degree of Hons./ Spl. Hons./ Graduation Degree under 10+2+3 pattern with a relevant subject from a recognized university.
- Candidate must have passed the qualifying degree with minimum 50%marks (45 % for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled etc)
- An advantage of the addition of 10 marks to the candidates passing B.A. with Library Science as a Pass / Honours subject & for candidates who have qualified one-year B.Lib. Inf. Sc.
LLM:
- Candidate must have passed the qualifying degree i.e. LL.B or equivalent law degree with minimum 50%marks (45 % for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled etc)
- Candidates whose final year result is awaited are also eligible to apply
Master of Journalism and Mass Communication [MJMC]:
- Candidate must have hold Graduation degree under 10+2+3 pattern in any stream from a recognized university.
- Candidate must have passed the qualifying degree with minimum 50%marks (45 % for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled etc).
Utkal University Application Form 2025
The application form for the PG Course of Utkal university shall get released as per the prescribed dates. The applicant, in order to take admission in the university, will have to submit the application form. The Utkal University Application Form will be made available on the official website of the concerned authority. Utkal University Admit Card 2025
The admit card of Utkal University shall get issued tentatively in the month of May 2025. The university will release the admit card on its official website.
