Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) offers admission to undergraduate B Tech and dual degree programme on the basis of JEE Advanced score and rank. It does not conduct any entrance exam, however, it conducts online centralized counselling.

Candidates who want to get enrolled for undergraduate B Tech programme at IIST must participate in the counselling procedure. This article is about the cut-off marks that a candidate must possess in the qualifying examination and as well as in JEE Advanced exam 2018 in order to participate in IIST Admission 2018.
Cut-off marks to participate in IIST Admission 2018 vary for general and reserved category candidates. Applicants must check and tally their marks obtained with the cut-off marks required to participate in the counselling round.

Cut-off marks for general category candidates are provided in the table below:

1. | Qualifying Examination cut-off | Candidates must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in the Class XII (or equivalent) Board examination. The marks scored in the following five subjects will be considered for calculating the aggregate marks criterion. Physics Chemistry Mathematics A language (if the candidate has taken more than one language, then the language with the higher marks will be considered). Any subject other than the above four (the subject with the highest marks will be considered). |
2. | JEE Advanced cut-off 2018 | Candidates should appear for the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2018 conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi to qualify themselves to appear for Joint Entrance Examination Advanced 2018 conducted by IITs and secure the minimum prescribed category-wise marks in JEE (Advanced)-2018 as given below : (i)General Candidates (GEN): At least 20% marks(i.e.73 marks out of 366) in aggregate and at least 5% marks (i.e. 6 marks out of 122) in each of the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). |

(ii)SC, ST & PD candidates: At least 10% marks(i.e.36 marks out of 366) in aggregate and at least 2.5% marks(i.e. 3 marks out of 122) in each of the three subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics). |
