The Admission Criteria will be available on the Official Notification of HTET. Hence, candidates satisfying the criteria can fill the HTET Application Form. The dates have not been released yet, however, it is expected that the exam will take place in the month of June 2025.

HTET Eligibility Criteria 2025-22

  • There is no age-limit in appearing for the exam.
  • Candidate can appear as many times as they want.

Haryana HTET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teacher (Level-1)

The Level-1 is the Primary Teacher Eligibility Test for Classes 1 to 5. Applicants have to satisfy any one of the following criteria. Hence, the educational qualifications for HTET Level-1 are as follows-

  • Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks. Must have passed or appeared in Final Year 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2007 notified on 31 August 2009. OR
  • Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with a minimum of 45% marks and must have passed or appeared in Final Year 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed Or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) OR final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR
  • Must have passed Graduation or passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
  • Must have passed Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Senior Secondary/Graduation/Post-Graduation with Hindi as one of the subjects.

Level-II TGT Educational Qualifications (Subject-Wise)

  • B.A/B.Com and 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • In the case of B.A. /B.Com, in addition to English, a combination of at least two subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate individually in the subjects during all the years of study out of the following:-History, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Sociology, Psychology.
  • For B.Ed, Social Studies as a teaching subject from a recognized university.
  • Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or Sr. Secondary/ Graduation/ Post Graduation with Hindi as one of the Subjects.
Science
  • B.Sc and 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • In the case of a B.Sc., a combination of at least three subjects out of the following:-Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics.
  • For B. Ed, the candidate must have Science as a compulsory subject.
  • Must have passed Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/M.A with Hindi as one of the subjects.
Mathematics
  • Must have passed B.A/B.Sc/B.Com with at least 50% marks in Maths as (elective subject).
  • For B. Ed, the candidate must have Maths as a teaching subject.
  • Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/M.A with Hindi as one of the subjects.
English
  • Must have passed B.A/B.Sc/B.Com with at least 50% marks in English as (elective subject).
  • For B. Ed, the candidate must have Maths as a teaching subject.
  • Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/M.A with Hindi as one of the subjects.
Hindi
  • B.A. with at least 50% marks in Hindi as an elective subject and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • In the case of B.Ed., Hindi as a teaching subject from a recognized university
  • Matric with Hindi/ Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
Sanskrit
  • B.A with at least 50% marks in Sanskrit as an Elective Subject.
  • For B.Ed, Sanskrit must be the teaching subject.
  • Matric with Hindi/ Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
Punjabi
  • B.A with at least 50% marks in Punjabi Subject as an Elective Subject.
  • For B.Ed, Punjabi must be the teaching subject.
  • Matric with Hindi/ Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
Urdu
  • B.A with at least 50% marks in Urdu Subject as an Elective Subject.

Physical Education
  • Graduation with BPEd or Diploma in Physical Education (DPEd) from a recognized University.

Home Science
  • B.Sc Home Science and 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • In the case of B.A, the candidate must score a minimum of 50% marks in the Home Science as Elective Subject
  • In B.Ed, Home Science must be the teaching subject.
  • Matric with Hindi/ Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A./M.A. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
Art
  • BFA/B.A, and 2-Year in Diploma Education
  • In the case of B.A, the candidate must score a minimum of 50% marks in the Fine Art as Elective Subject
  • In B.Ed, Fine Art must be the teaching subject.
Music
  • B.A and 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Minimum Marls must be 50%
  • In B.Ed, Music must be the teaching subject.
