TS PGECET Counselling, Complete Admission Process

The TSCHE is a statutory body of the Government of Telangana. This state-level common entrance test is conducted by the Osmania University, Hyderabad on the behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher education. The motive behind the TS PGECET examination is to identify the meritorious candidates at the state level and to educate and inspire them for their future.  After the results are declared, candidates are called for the counselling process. The counselling process will be held on different dates with a different category of candidates. The counselling will be done in the online mode. Candidates have to verify their documents before the counselling process. Therefore, candidates are advised to carry valid documents with them. There will also be a post verification of the students. Here in the second process, the candidate needs to choose their preferred college and seats. The counselling will be done separately for different streams.

The GATE/GPAT qualified candidates will have counselling separately. The GATE/GPAT candidates are given first preference in the seat allotment and then the TS PGECET qualified are given the remaining seats. There will be two rounds in the counselling process. TS PGECET Counselling Dates 2019

The candidates are advised to keep on following the important dates and notifications which is associated with the examination. Candidates should not miss out any updates related to the examination. The tentative schedule is provided in the tabular format below. The officially released dates will be available once it is announced by the authorities.

Procedure of TS PGECET Counselling 2019

The candidates have to go through some steps for the counselling process of TS PGECET 2019. The TS PGECET Counselling will be done in the online mode. It is required to have a good INTERNET connection to do the counselling. It can be done from any place if there is a facility of INTERNET connection like home/helpline centre or cyber cafe.

Candidates have to make a payment for the counselling and fee that the candidate will pay will not be refunded in any circumstance. Candidates belonging to different categories will pay a different sum of money. The General category of students will have to pay Rupees 800 as their registration fees and the ST/SC category students will have to pay Rupees 400 only.

There will be three stages of counselling. The first stage will be Document Verification, the second step is the Web Counselling and the third step is Seat allotment.

Document Verification: The candidates will be given dates as per their scores in TS PGECET  for registration and payment in the helpline centers. Candidates will register themselves first with the details required and then pay the processing fee for the registration. Then the candidate has to proceed towards the verification of the certificates.

At the time of verification, the candidates should carry their original certificates as well as their xerox copy with them. They should always provide a valid phone number as the candidates are sent an OTP in that number. After the candidate is done with the verification, he/she will be provided with a receipt.

Candidates should thoroughly check the details after getting the receipt. It consists of the following details like Mobile Number, Local Area, Gender, Caste, Minority, Parental Income, Date of Birth, Category, eligible degree, and specialization. If in case there is any discrepancy the candidate should immediately bring it to the Camp Officer or the co-coordinator for rectification.

There will six helpline centres for the candidates to register themselves.

Web Options Entry: Web options can be exercised at any place where there is Internet accessibility. While exercising the candidates will receive a six-digit password in the registered mobile number. The candidates should be very careful while filling or choosing any options because it cannot be modified later. Candidates are advised to keep them a printed copy of the page. The registered options will be selected automatically and will be used further during the seat allotment.

Seat Allotment: Candidates after completing all the procedures have to wait for the Authority to send the confirmation message. The candidates should keep their phone on as the confirmation message will be sent to the authorized number. The candidates should make sure the Message from the Authorities is not blocked. Seat allotment cannot be modified or altered according to the students. After getting the final seat allotment from the Authorities, the candidates need to take out a print out of allotment letter.  The candidate then should report to the colleges or institutes assigned. If the candidate fails to be physically present before or on the last day of the Admission, it will be cancelled.
