For any candidate to be eligible for admission, he/she has to obtain the prescribed marks released by the Board/University. This is done with the release of the cut-off which is prepared to set a benchmark of how much percentage of marks a candidate must have scored in 10+2 qualifying examination to be eligible for counselling. The cut-off is the minimum qualifying marks, required to be eligible for admission. Sometimes it also refers to the opening and the closing rank. For the academic year 2018, Anna University is conducting the admissions that had begun on 3rd May. The candidates had to register themselves first and then submit the application form along with the requisite fees and documents like certificates, images of signature and photograph. Then a rank list was released based on the cut-off decided by the admission conducting authority. Candidates whose names appear on the merit/ rank list will be called for counselling and seat allotment in the participating colleges of TNEA.
