The candidates will have to keep themselves updated with the latest release of the official schedule which will be available on the website. It is important that the applicant must keep visiting the website on a regular basis. Once the schedule is released, the applicant must go through it carefully for the dates of the admission procedure. It is advised that the applicant must save and download the officially released schedule so as not to miss any of the important dates and events.

The candidates who are working as a school teacher in Government or Government recognised school within the territorial jurisdiction of the state of Punjab only are eligible for admission.

Application Form of PUP Admission 2019

The candidates seeking admission may download the Punjabi University, Patiala (PUP)  Admission Prospectus 2019 along with the PUP Application Form from the university website http://www.pupdepartments.ac.in/de. The cost of the Punjabi University, Patiala (PUP)  Admission Prospectus 2018 and Application Form is Rs. 500/- which is to be paid along with the admission fee.

The candidates who will choose B.A. (Computer Application), D.Lib., B.Lib., M.Lib., and B.Ed. have to fill an additional form available at the departmental website www.dccpbi.com along with the PUP Application form 2018.

Instructions to fill the PUP 2019 Application Form

The candidates who will fill Punjabi University, Patiala (PUP) Application Form 2018 may go through the guidelines given below:

  • Fill the Name of the course and Subject for which seeking admission.
  • Fill the Centre of the Examination.
  • Fill the details of Demand Draft.
  • Affix your recent passport size photograph and it should be self-attested.
  • Mention your category.
  • Fill your name in BLOCK letters as specified in 10th marksheet/certificate.
  • Fill your Father’s name in BLOCK letters as specified in 10th marksheet/certificate.
  • Fill your Mother’s name in BLOCK letters as specified in 10th marksheet/certificate.
  • Fill your Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format as recorded in 10th marksheet/certificate.
  • Fill other details like Gender, Marital Status, Nationality, Religion etc.
  • Fill the details of Parents’/Guardian’s/Self Annual Income.
  • Fill your educational details like the Last exam passed, Board/University Name, Year of Passing, Divison secured etc.
  • A candidate applying for B.Ed. should provide details of Designation of the post held, Name of the School/Institute where employed, Whether the School/Institute is a Government/Recognised, Board to which affiliated, Total Experience.
  • Fill details of your Permanent Address and Correspondence Address along with PIN code.
  • Provide your contact number and valid email id.
  • Provide your signature in the given box and fill the date.
  • Fill the details of the documents attached.

Documents required to submit with the PUP Application Form 2019

The candidates need to submit the following documents along with the PUP Application Form 2019:

  • Provisional Degree and Marksheet of last qualifying examination in the original.
  • Self-attested copy of class 10th marksheet/certificate.
  • Character Certificate issued by the last attended School/College. Candidates residing abroad may obtain it from a Gazetted Officer of the Indian Embassy.
  • Migration Certificate in original (if applicable)
  • Self-attested copy of Date of Birth certificate.
  • A candidate is required to write his/her name, father’s name, form number on the backside of the Demand draft of the requisite fee.
  • A candidate’s recent passport size photograph and one self-attested photograph to be affixed on the Admission Form.
  • Identity card along with the photograph and signature.
  • The filled in PUP Application Form 2019 along with required documents should reach to The Head, Department of Distance Education, Punjabi University, Patiala-147002. It can also be delivered to the Enquiry and Information Centre located at the University Main Gate and a receipt may be obtained for the same.
Note: The candidates should mention “Application for Admission to ………….. Course” on the envelope of the PUP Application Form 2019.

Admission Process of PUP 2019

The candidates desiring to take admission in Punjabi University, Patiala (PUP) for distance courses can fill the PUP Application Form 2019 which shall be available on the university website. The candidates have to submit the PUP Application form 2019 before the last date otherwise, the late fee will be charged for the submission of PUP Application Form 2019. The candidates are required to send the PUP Application form 2019 along with the required enclosures to The Head, Department of Distance Education, Punjabi University, Patiala-147002.

Rejection of PUP Admission Form 2019

The candidates Punjabi University, Patiala (PUP) Application Form 2019 for admission shall be rejected in the case:

  • If the PUP Application Form 2019 is not filled completely in all aspects.
  • If the requisite documents are not enclosed along with the PUP Application Form 2019.
  • If the candidate does not fulfil eligibility criteria.
  • If the last qualified examination of the candidate is not recognised by the Punjabi University, Patiala (PUP).
  • If the photograph of the Applicant is not affixed properly.
  • If the requisite fee and other charges are not paid in full.
  • If the PUP Application form 2019 is not signed by the applicant.
  • If the required original documents are not produced at the time of verification.
Note: The original documents/certificates will be handed over to the candidate after the verification.
