PDPU B.Tech Admissions 2018
For the candidates who want admission in B. Tech course, he/she will be required to fill the online PDPU application form. Only those candidates who have taken the JEE Main 2018 will be able to apply for engineering in PDPU 2018. The PDPU applications for all candidates had been made available from 22nd April 2018 onwards. Know more about the PDPU admission 2018 procedure in the article below.
PDPU 2018 Counselling
PDPU has announced the Counselling Schedule for B.Tech Admissions starting from 15th June 2018. The candidates mentioned on the merit list are called for counselling where they have to be present in person.

Candidates have to report to the university campus for counselling and seat allotment of PDPU 2018. The documents of the candidate will be verified here. The rank of the candidate in the merit list of PDPU will decide the seats allotted to him/her. The provisional admission letter will be given to selected candidates. After which they will have to pay the admission fees. The admission will be confirmed only after the fees are successfully paid by the candidates.

Things to know about the PDPU B. Tech admissions 2018
The admission to B. Tech in PDPU will be given based on three channels. This distribution has been given below:
- GUJCET 2018 – 50% of seats in PDPU are going to be filled by candidates who want to apply through Gujarat Common Entrance Test 2018. All the candidates who want to apply to the University through Gujarat quota, will be first required to take the GUJCET 2018 and appear in the counselling of GUJCET 2018.
- All India Seats – 35% of seats will be filled by candidates who have taken the JEE Main 2018. Only those candidates who have secured a rank in the JEE Main 2018 will be able to apply under the All India Quota.
- NRI Seats – 15% of seats in PDPU are reserved for Non residential Indians. These candidates will however, have to meet the eligibility criteria, as set by the concerned authorities.
PDPU B.Tech Eligibility Criteria
It is mandatory for all the applicants to fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria as set by the admission conducting university. Prior to filling up the PDPU application form, candidates must make sure they possess all the eligibility criteria which are based on certain parameters like age, nationality, qualifying examination, etc.
PDPU 2018 eligibility criteria is given in the points below:
- Nationality – Candidates should be an Indian National.
- Qualifying Examination – All candidates should have attempted and qualified JEE Main 2018.
- Academic qualification – Candidates should have qualified 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
- The candidate belonging to the general category must have obtained 45% marks in class 12th and the candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST) must have obtained at least 40% marks.
PDPU B. Tech Reservation Criteria
Certain percentage of seats offered through PDPU are reserved for certain categories. Only those candidates who fall under these categories will be able to claim the reservation of PDPU admissions 2018.

PDPU B. Tech Application Form 2018
In order to apply for admissions to PDP University, all aspiring candidates had to fill and submit the PDPU application form. The PDPU application form of 2018 was available from 22nd April 2018.
The candidate had to submit the application form before the last date prescribed which was 8th June 2018. The PDPU application form was made available in the online mode on the official website. Candidates were required to first register themselves and fill the required the information like personal and academic details. The scanned images of candidate’s photograph and signature had to be uploaded. Candidates were then required to pay the application fee of PDPU 2018 which was different for candidates who have qualified the 10+2 from Gujarat and for those who have qualified 10+2 from outside Gujarat. This application fee had to be paid through online mode (net banking/ credit card/ debit card). Candidates must provide only the correct details in the application form and check the details and submit the application form. On successful submission, candidates will be sent a user ID and password. The candidate will require this user ID and password for future references.
Merit list of PDPU 2018
Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University or PDPU has prepared a merit list after the application form is over. The merit list was prepared for candidates who have successfully registered and submitted the application form and met the JEE Main cut-off. The merit list for all the eligible candidates has been released online only. Those candidates who are listed on the merit list will be called for PDPU counselling 2018. These candidates will be sent a counselling letter on the registered email Id and candidates will be required to take a print out of it and bring it to the counselling.
