Backward Classes Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal grant pre-matric and post-matric scholarship to the meritorious student of West Bengal. The main objective of this scholarship is to help financially weak students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Step 1: Oasis Scholarship Registration

This is the first and foremost stage in this process. You need to visit the official website. Choose the district where your institution is based. A page for verification of caste certificate will appear. Fill in all details and click on submit. Once the caste certificate is verified, you will be directed to the online registration page.

Step 2: Oasis login to complete the application

• On successful registration, you can download your user id/application number and password through “Download login information/acknowledgement slip” button.
• Click on the “Login Now” button using your application number/user id and password.
• Once logged in, you have to fill in your general details and bank information carefully and click on ‘Save and Proceed’.

Step 3: Verifying and Locking of Oasis application

Once you have filled all your information in the application form. You can click on the “Verify and Lock” button to lock all the information filled.

NOTE: Once you have locked the information filled, you cannot make any changes further. So, make sure you enter the correct information in the application form.

Step 4: Print the Oasis scholarship application form

After successful locking, the application form, click on the “Download Application Form” button and take the printout of the application form at oasis.gov.in.

Step 5: Submission of printed Oasis application form

Submit the printed copy of duly-filled application form along with the copies of all supporting documents to your concerned BDO (Block Development Officer) for Block area or PO cum DWO for municipality corporation.

If you have already registered for the West Bengal Oasis scholarship 2025 earlier and receiving the amount, then each year you have to renew it. You do not have to register again to receive the scholarship. Just renew it within scheduled date and time by following the steps given below.

Step 1: Log in to your Oasis scholarship account.

Visit the official website (oasis.gov.in). Click on “Renew Scholarship” button in the student’s corner.

Login using your registered user id/application number and password. Verify the previously entered details and make changes if required.

Step 2: Oasis Scholarship Renew application

• Once you have verified your already existing information, you can click on the “Renew Application” button.
• Enter information about the current academic study that you are pursuing.
• Click on “Renew and Lock application” button.

Note: Once you lock your renewal application, you cannot make a change in any field. So, make sure you enter the correct information in every field.

Step 3: Submit the printed Oasis scholarship application form

Once you have locked your renewal application, you can download the application form and submit it along with all the supporting documents to the concerned Block Development Office (BDO) for block area or PO cum DWO for municipality corporation.
