NIFT Exam Pattern 2025
The exam pattern of NIFT will give an idea about the structure of the question paper. NIFT 2025 Exam Pattern will provide information such as the number of sections, Total Marks, Total Questions etc. A candidate who will not pass the exam shall not get the call for the next stage. Refer to the NIFT Design Exam Scheme or NIFT Fashion Technology Exam Scheme before starting preparation. There will be two examinations for UG & PG Design Course (a) General Ability Test (GAT) and (b) Creative Ability Test (CAT). The examination will be a Paper Based Test (PBT).

(2) Creative Ability Test (CAT)
In order to check intuitive ability, the power of observation in concept development, and design ability of the candidate this test will be conducted. An important aspect of the test is the creative and innovative use of colour and illustration skills.
(3) SITUATION TEST – FOR UG DESIGN Programmes
It is a hands-on test to evaluate the candidate’s skills for material handling and innovative ability in a given situation with a given set of materials. Candidates who will pass the written entrance examination for B.DES have to appear in a Situation Test.

While filling the application form, candidates have to select a city for examination. In order to participate in the exam reach the exam venue.
