MHT CET Counselling 2018 is an important process for all the candidates who have taken the exam, have qualified the exam and are awaiting the admission to the respective colleges. The MHT CET counselling registration had begun from the 7th June 2018. MHT CET Counselling procedure involves seat allotment and admission to the allotted institute. Maharashtra MHT CET 2018 Counselling will be held in 3 rounds through Centralized Admission Process (CAP). There may be additional CAP rounds held to fill up the vacant seats if the need arises. MHT CET Seat allotment will be done on the basis of Merit list and the choices filled by the applicant during MHT CET Counselling process.

MHT CET Merit List & Seat Allotment
The concerned authority has released the provisional MHT CET merit list with the names of candidates with merit on 21st June and final meri list will be declared on the 24th June 2018.
Candidates will then be allotted seats in the CAP rounds. Seat allotment will start from the 24th June 2018. Seat allotment will also depend on the availability of seats in the particular participating institute.
Finally, the candidate will have to report to the allotted college to complete all admission related formalities like payment of rest of the Admission fees.
MHT CET Counselling 2018
Four steps involved in MHT CET 2018 counselling have been given below:
- Registration and Filling the Online Application to participate in CAP MHT CET counselling Round 1.
- Visiting the Facilitation Centre for Document Verification.
- Display of Provisional Merit List.
- Reporting to the Allotted Institute.
MHT CET Counselling Procedure 2018
- Candidates will have to first register themselves and fill in the application form for MAH CET counselling where they will have to provide personal details, communication details, and security details.
- After filling in the details, a password has to be selected and once the password is generated, candidates will be required to fill in academic details.
- While filling up the form, the candidate will have to select the type of Candidature they belong to like Maharashtra Type- A, B, C, D, E, OMS, J&K migrant, foreign student, NRI, PIO/OCI, CIWGC or GoI nominee candidate.
- Candidates will now have to enter their qualification and examination details.
- The next step will be to upload scanned images of their photograph and signature.
MHT CET Counseling Fees
After uploading, candidates will have to pay MHT CET counselling fee according to their category. Category wise counselling fees have been given in the table below:

After successful payment of the application fees, candidates will have to take a print out of the form and take it to the facilitation centre for verification.
Document Verification for MHT CET Counselling 2018
Eligible candidates will have to then produce the following documents for verification during MHT CET 2018 Counselling Process –
- 10th Standard Pass Certificate
- Mark Sheet 12th Standard Pass Certificate
- MHT CET Result 2018,
- Character Certificate,
- Migration Certificate,
- Category Certificate (if applicable),
- School Leaving Certificate,
- Domicile Certificate of Maharashtra (if applicable),
- MHT CET Admit Card 2018.
A set of both original and attested photocopy has to be presented at the facilitation centre.
Choice Locking during MHT CET Counselling
The next step will be to log in to the account of the candidate and submit the preferred choice of college and course. Candidate can choose up to 300 colleges in the order of preference. This choice will be kept in mind during seat allotment.
Candidates will have the option of freeze, slide and float to choose from. Those who do not wish to participate in further counselling rounds will choose “freeze”. Those who accept the allotted seat but is open for admission in the higher course in the same institute will choose “slide” and those candidates who accept the allotted seat but is open for admission in higher course or college will choose “slide”.
