JEE Main and JEE Advanced are considered as one of the most challenging entrance examinations taken by engineering and architecture students who want to opt for courses like B.Tech, B.E, B. Arch and B. Planning. Candidates who have passed or are appearing for class 12th exam and have Physics, Chemistry, mathematics as their main subjects can register for JEE Main exam. After conducting the JEE Main 2018 Exam, CBSE releases the Answer key within 10-15 days. The answer key is the sheet that contains all the correct answers to questions asked in the exam. Every exam is scored based on the answer key. Government run CBSE will release the JEE Main 2018 Answer key tentatively in the 3rd week of April 2018 on the official website.
The JEE Main 2018 Answer Key for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be released online around the same time. JEE Main Answer key will be an OMR sheet that the students can download from the official website. The official JEE Main answer key will be available for download in between 24th to 27th April 2018.

The JEE Main answer key for paper 2 that will be released tentatively in the 2nd week of May 2018 will have answers to the questions of Part 1 (Mathematics) and Part 2 (aptitude test) only. There will be no answers relating to the 3rd part of Paper 2 exam i.e. Drawing Test.

Unofficial JEE Main 2018 Answer Key Download
There are some coaching institutes like Aakash, Resonance, Career Point, Rao IIT etc that also release an answer key on the website of their respective institutes. These are the unofficial answer keys and are released as soon as the JEE Main exam is over. Students can also download answer key of JEE Main from the website of these coaching institutes.
Challenging the Official JEE Main 2018 Answer Key
CBSE uploads the answer keys of JEE Main exam so that the aspirants are given a chance to crosscheck their answers and have an idea of their score in the exam. Students can challenge the official JEE Main answer key for an answer they feel is not correct or can be achieved through another method, provided they present valid proof within the time specified by the CBSE. To challenge the official JEE Main answer key, the candidate has to submit a fee of Rs. 1000/- per question. If the candidate’s challenge is accepted by CBSE, the amount of Rs. 1000/- is refunded to the candidate.
Steps to follow while challenging JEE Main 2018 Answer Key

- Log in to your account by entering your application number, date of birth and the security pin.
- You will be redirected to a new page where you will have to select the question number, book number, answer, answer claimed and then click on add to claim list.
- Save all the claims and pay the required fees.
