IIT BHU Eligibility Criteria 2019

Indian Institute of Technology has defined the eligibility criteria for various courses for granting admission to the deserving students. The eligibility criteria are different for Bachelor and Master Courses and the candidates applying are required to make themselves aware with the prescribed eligibility.

IIT BHU For Admission to B.Tech Course 2019

• The candidates must have passed the class 12th exam with 75% marks or be in the top 20 percentile conducted by the respective boards. For SC/ST Students the qualifying marks would be 65% in aggregate.
• Adhaar Card is mandatory for all the Indian Citizens who are taking JEE.
• All the IIT aspirants have to sit for JEE Main and afterwards, JEE Advanced.
• JEE eligibility will be required to IIT for admission to the Undergraduate Program. Based upon the score and rank secured by the candidate in their JEE Advanced exam, shortlisted candidates will be called for Counselling.

IIT BHU For Admission to M.Tech Course 2019

• The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination with minimum 60% marks/6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale).
• The candidate must have passed B.Tech or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.
• Candidates must have a valid GATE Score.

IIT BHU For Admission to PhD Program 2019

• Applicants with Master’s Degree in Engineering in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 Point scale) at the Master’s Degree level.
• Applicants with Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in the discipline concerned or in an allied discipline/area must have a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the bachelor’s degree level.
• Applicants with Master’s degree in Science as an allied discipline/area (where science is an allied discipline/area) are required to satisfy the following mentioned criteria-

– A minimum of 65% marks or 6.5 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the Master’s Degree Level.

– A minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) at the Bachelor’s Degree level.

IIT BHU Application Form 2019

Indian Institute of Technology releases the Application Form for the admission to the courses offered by the Institute. The Application Forms are required to be submitted by the candidate. The forms are available in an online mode and the submission and the payment of the fee is done through an online mode. Before filling up the Application Form, it is required that the candidate go through the eligibility conditions and then proceed for filling up the Application. The IIT BHU 2019 Application Forms for various programs offered by the Institute will be released separately, given the admission procedure varies for exam course. The Application Form will be comprising of Registration, Details to be filled in the Application Form and Details of Application Fee.

Step 1– Registration: It is the first part of the Application Procedure. The candidate is required to provide basic details in the registration process. After the successful Registration, the log-in credentials (user-name and password) is sent to the registered Email ID of the candidate. The information which the candidate is required to provide during Registration is provided below.

• Date of Birth
• Name of the Parents
• Valid Email ID
• Contact Number

Step 2- Details to be filled in the Application Form: The candidate is required to fill the following details in the form.

Personal Information: The candidate will be required to enter details such as name, Date of Birth, Nationality, Category, and Address for Correspondance.

Application Fee: Candidate will have to pay the Application Fee, Date of Payment and e-receipt number.

The program of Study: The candidate will be required to enter the Programme and discipline for which they will be applying for.

Uploading signature and Photograph: Candidates will have to upload their scanned images of Photograph and Signature which should be less than 50 KB. Also, the file uploaded should be only a color photograph.

Details of the Qualifying Examination: Candidates will have to enter their GATE Score (for M.Tech Program) and JEE Advanced Score (for B.Tech Program). They also have to provide the score, rank, roll number, year and discipline.

Step 3- Application Fee: This is the last step for the submission of the Application form. The amount of the Application fee is Rs. 500/- (For SC/ST candidates Rs. 250/-)

Mode of Payment: The Application Form will be submitted in an online mode through SBI Collect.

Step 4- The last step will be of taking a print out of the submitted Application Form for the future references.

IIT BHU Admission Procedure 2019

For Admission to B.tech Program: Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech program in IIT BHU 2019 will be required to appear for the Counselling conducted by the Institute on the basis of the score secured by the candidate JEE Advance. B.tech admission will be done through an online counselling procedure. Counselling organized by the Institute is held for those candidates who are shortlisted through the screening process on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in JEE. Candidates will be required to submit the requisite fee and do the required document verification after the allotment of the seat.

For IIT BHU 2019 Admission to M.Tech Program: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their valid GATE score, which is valid and above the qualifying pass mark may be selected for M.Tech/M.Pharm programmes either on the basis of their GATE/GPAT score or written test or interview or on the basis of any combination of these as declared by the individual department/school.

IIT BHU For Admission to PhD Program 2019

1. Admission to PhD Programme will be based on written test and the interview of the candidates as shortlisted by the Department/School Concerned.
2. The Following category student will be exempted from appearing in the written test.

External Registration Category- A candidate working in an external R&D organization or in an industry recognized by the institute.

Sponsored Category-  A candidate who is sponsored by a teaching institution and must have been in the service of the sponsoring institution for at least two years at the time of admission.

Part Time Category– Permanent staff and faculty members of the institute as well as Research Assistants/JRF’s/SRF’s working in an externally funded research project running in the institute provided such projects must not have less than one year tenure left on the date of the Registration in the Programme.

National Level Scholarship–  Candidates having National Level Scholarships, i.e. JRF/SRF of UGC, CSIR, DBT, ICMR, DST-INSPIRE etc.

Outstanding candidates from Premier Institution

• Applicants who have qualifying degree from IITs with CPI of 8.00 or above (on a 10.0 point scale)
• There will not be any category wise or specialization wise seats for selection under the above type.
• The number of seats under this type will be of 20% of the ‘announced number of seats’ and shall be considered as ‘Supernumerary seats’. Any fractional number arrived at would be rounded to the higher integer.
• The interview should be conducted for this type of candidates prior to the conduct of written tests for remaining candidates.
• Any candidate who could not qualify in the said interview, through this channel, is eligible to take regular selection procedure of written test and interview.

1. Further, if qualifying marks are specified in a written test and/or interview a 5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST candidate. If a candidate avails such relaxation, she/he shall not be considered for admission in General category.
2. Upon approval of the chairman, Senate, the Head of the Department/Coordinator of the school concerned will issue admission letters to the candidates who will be required to accept the offer of admission by depositing the prescribed fee before a specified date.
3. In case a candidate doesn’t accept the offer by paying the prescribed fee by the specified date, the offer of admission will stand withdrawn and the admission will be offered to the candidates in the waiting list, if any, in order of merit.

IIT BHU Result 2019

The Result of Undergraduate and Post Graduate Program will be declared on the official website of the University. Candidates who submitted the Application form for the courses that they desire to pursue will be required to check their IIT BHU 2019 result. The admission procedure for both the courses will be different as per the eligibility of taking admission to the course. Candidates should be careful while filling up the Application form that the information provided is valid and correct as the admission to the course will be provided on the basis of the score secured by the candidate in the qualifying exam.

The IIT BHU Result for admission to B.Tech program will be prepared on the basis of the score of the candidate in JEE Advance exam. Candidates will be required to qualify JEE Main exam and appear for JEE Advance exam. The Score in JEE Advanced will validate the chances of the candidate of getting admission in IIT BHU 2019. After the submission of the Application and getting the accumulated score of the candidates who applied for the course, the Institute will release the result and will conduct the counselling for the final seat allotment of the eligible candidates in the B.Tech program.

The Result for the admission to the M.Tech program will be prepared on the basis of GATE Score secured by the candidate. The candidates should have secured the minimum of 60% marks/6.0 CPI (on a 10.0 point scale) in a qualifying degree. In addition, they must also have qualified the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for M.Tech programmes and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for M.Pharm Program with validity not expired. Institute will prepare the result on the score secured by the candidate in GATE. The Result of IIT BHU will be declared on the official website of the Institute. The IIT BHU 2019  Result will carry the name of the candidate, Application Number and the rank provided to the candidate. The Final Seat Allotment will be provided on the basis of the Counselling conducted by the Institute.

Candidates will be required to download the IIT BHU result of Final Seat Allotment form the official website by providing their Application Number and other relevant credentials. It will be important to bring the original documents at the time of the admission and the submission of the fee should also be done on the day of the admission.

IIT BHU Cut Off 2019

IIT BHU 2019 releases the Cut Off for UG Program for the candidates seeking admission to the course in the University. IIT BHU Cut off 2019 is the minimum marks prescribed by the selection board for the selection of the candidates in courses offered by Indian Institute of Technology, BHU. The Merit List released by the Institute will be designed on the basis of the Cut off score.
