HP CET Result 2018: Himachal Pradesh Technical University will be releasing the results for all the candidates who have taken the examination officially in the 4th week of May 2018. The Himachal Pradesh Technical University is responsible for conduct the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test also known as HPCET 2018. The HP CET Result 2018 has been declared in the online and offline mode. To view the HP CET 2018 Results online, the candidates will be asked to visit the official website. HP CET Result 2018
The HPCET Result 2018 will be issued/updated on the Himachal Pradesh Technical University’s website www.himtu.ac.in. The result for the same will also be uploaded on the Notice Board of the HPTU University. The result of each applicant will be provisional. The detail of marks can be obtained from the University website. The Final result will carry section wise and total marks secured by the applicant in HPCET 2018. HP CET 2018 Merit List
The Merit list will be released after the HP CET 2018 Results have been announced officially. HP CET 2018 Merit list will be prepared based on the marks of the candidate. The merit list will contain the name and rank of the candidate. The higher the rank, the more preference will be given to the candidate. Separate merit list will be released for those who have applied through JEE Main 2018 and those who have applied through HPCET 2018. Candidates who have been listed on the HPTU merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling and seat allotment procedure.
HP CET Result 2018: Tie-breaking policy
In case two or more candidates secure the same marks in HPCET 2018, the following tie-breaking policy will be used to break the tie –
- The candidate with more marks in Physics will be given more preference.
- If the tie still exists, the candidate with more marks in chemistry will be considered.
- In case the tie is still persistent, marks obtained in the qualifying examination will be considered to break the tie.
- If the tie still does not break, the candidate with the higher date of birth will be given a higher rank.
HP CET Results 2018 Counselling
After the declaration of HP CET 2018 Results, the Himachal Pradesh Technical University will announce the HP CET 2018 Counselling Schedule. The candidates who qualified the HPTU Entrance Exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling process of HPTU. Qualified candidates can check the complete procedure, seat allotment process from the HPTU official website. HP CET Counselling will take in offline mode only and the interested candidate need to visit the HPTU on the allotted time for counselling.
