BITSAT stands for Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test. It is a University level examination conducted by BITS Pilani for admission to degree courses in BITS campuses of Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. BITSAT 2018 is a computer-based online exam for admission to Integrated degree programmes of these 3 campuses.

BITSAT 2018 Application form has been closed and the slot booking for the exam will start from 10:00 AM on 23rd March.
There are various courses offered by BITS campuses. BITSAT is usually taken by students who want to opt for Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses like civil, mechanical, chemical, computer science, electrical and economics. This exam can also be taken by students who wish to study B Pharm and MSc programmes.
BITS Pilani will conduct BITSAT Exam from 16th – 31st May 2018. The final dates have been announced on the official website.

Application Form For BITSAT 2018
BITSAT 2018 is a national level entrance exam for admission to various undergraduate integrated first-degree programmes for the academic session 2018-2019. BITSAT 2018 online Application Form has been released online on 19th December 2017 and will be available till 19th March 2018.
To appear in BITSAT 2018, candidates will have to fill the correct details in the application form and pay the specified fees. Applicants can access the online application form at bitsadmission.com. In the application form, they will have to provide programme preferences and class 12th exam details.
Applicants will also have to keep ready the scanned images of photograph and signature in the defined specification.

Application Fees of BITSAT 2018 Application Form
BITSAT is held for a couple of days and is a computer-based test. students who want to appear for this exam will have to fill in the application form and pay the prescribed application fees. Last year the application fees for the applicants was Rs 2750/- for male candidates and Rs. 2250/- for female candidates (for exam centers in India). The application fees for both female and male candidates who opt for centers in Dubai have to pay US $ 60 which amounts to 4000 INR.
The Application fees for BITSAT 2018 has been declared. Male Candidates who choose the test center in India will have to pay Rs.2950 whereas female candidates who choose the test center in India will have to pay Rs. 2450. Both male and female candidates will have to pay US $70 if they choose Dubai as the test center.
Eligibility Criteria For BITSAT 2018 Exam
All applicants must make sure that they fit into all the eligibility criteria before filling up the application form.
The Eligibility Criteria for BITSAT 2018 is as follows:
- For admission to all integrated first-degree programmes except for B.Pharma, candidates should have passed 12th or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized board/university with physics, chemistry, and maths.
- For admission to B Pharm course, candidates should have passed 12th or equivalent qualifying examination from a recognized board/university with physics, chemistry and biology/ maths.
- The candidate should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th class examination, with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology subjects.
BITSAT 2018 Exam Pattern / Marking Scheme
BITSAT 2018 will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours. This will be a computer-based test with a total of 180 multiple choice questions. 3 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every answer marked wrong.

BITSAT 2018 Exam Syllabus Subject Wise

How To Prepare For BITSAT 2018

BITSAT 2018 Slot Booking – Select Center & Date
BITSAT 2018 Slot booking will start from 23rd March 2018 onwards. BITSAT is a computer-based test and will take place in multiple rounds. For this reason, students who want to take the test will have to reserve a slot beforehand. Each day BITS Pilani will open BITS open Test booking system where students who want to take the exam will reserve a test center, date, and slot. For this to happen, the candidates will have to provide their BITSAT application number, gender, email-id, and date of birth. Applicants must keep themselves updated with all the important dates related to the exam and keep visiting the official website again and again.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket For BITSAT 2018 Entrance Exam
An Admit card or Hall ticket is a very important document that every applicant needs to carry to the examination center, absence of which can debar the candidate from taking the exam. Admit card will carry details like the applicant’s personal detail, the name of examination center, the application number, the exam he/she is taking and the guidelines that every candidate will have to adhere to while giving the exam.
Admit Card for BITSAT 2018 will be available for download after the slot booking process is over. It is expected to be released in the 2nd week of April 2018. all candidates must make sure that all the information provided in the application form is correct as the same information will be printed on the admit card. A candidate must also not forget to carry the admit card to the examination hall.
BITSAT 2018 Result – Releasing Date
The BITSAT 2018 Result will be announced online on the official website i.e. bitsadmission.com in the 1st week of July 2018. The results will be simultaneously announced along with BITS Pilani conducting its slots.
Candidates will have to log in to their account by entering their application number and password. After the result, two merit lists will be out. The first list will contain all the names of candidates that have qualified the examination and will be called for counselling. The second list is called the waiting list that will contain all the names of candidates who will be called to fill up the vacant seats.
BITSAT Previous Years Cut Off, Program Wise Cut Off
The cut-off is the minimum marks required to qualify an entrance examination and be eligible for admission. The cut-off for BITSAT 2018 will be released soon after the exam is over. Counselling Process for BITSAT 2018 | Seat Allotment
The counselling and seat allotment of candidates is conducted by BITS Pilani. BITSAT 2018 counselling and seat allotment will take place after the announcement of results. It will begin tentatively from 1st week of July. The seat allotment will take place in the form of iterations rounds and for every round BITS, Pilani will announce the result.
To appear for the admission process, candidates will have to fill up the admission form along with 12th or 10+2 examination marks and preference of degree program offered by the institutes. Candidates who have topped the 12th qualifying exam will be given direct admission to the program preferred by the candidate.
BITSAT Direct Admission
All the first rank holders of their respective board examinations will get direct admission to the program preferred by the candidate.
While the first rank student in PCM stream will be considered for admission to any of the first degree programmes of his/her choice, the first rank holder of PCB stream will be considered for admission to B. Pharm. programme only.
They should also have obtained the minimum marks of 75% in PCM/PCB subjects in 12th class examination
