Centre for Design Excellence, (CODE), a constituent body of Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur celebrated the success of its first-ever Online Learning Festival #NoLockdownOnEducation for students, professionals, academicians and aspiring candidates related to the creative domains of architecture and design streaming live from past 6 days. In the age of social distancing, CODE successfully connected people digitally from all over the country following the digital revolution.

The festival provided a virtual platform for students, professionals, academicians, and aspiring candidates to interact and engage with each other along with learning at its best. Several webinars, expert talks, and student open sessions under various Themes, New Designers for a renovated world, Dil Se…What students say, Crack the entry code, Compete, conquer, and contribute were conducted to engage young minds.
CODE-VGU conducted its first online webinar session series. This provided a platform for all the professionals to come, share, and discuss their projects, learning, and design ideologies with the students, aspiring ones, and others. The campaign invited renowned architects, designers, and academicians from different parts of the country like Ar. Dhruv Gupta, an eminent Architect contributing to theme based interior projects in the city, Fort Restaurant, Retro, Night-Jar, Chairman, Education Committee, ARCASIA, Ms. Kirti Rathore, Only Fashion Designer for men’s in the Fashion Industry, Prof. (Col) Shishir Kumar, Director General-ImaginXP, and Ms. Shuchi VC, Principle Designer & owner of the label Shuchi VC discussing their insights on architecture, interior, fashion, and UX design.

University CEO, Mr. Onkar Bagaria says the past six days were full of resources and learning for the students as well as for the fraternity. A successful engagement was seen in all the sessions. Everybody participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. It is a good start to bring people together digitally and adapt to change in education systems. Whatever happens, learning should never stop.
With open sessions like Dil Se…..What students say?? Students from across the country came together digitally, connected with CODE students, and shared their experiences and ideas contributing towards designing the education systems followed with a suggestive draft for the formulation of new education systems. There were conversations on the world of feature and faction, time management mantras, passion to profession, etc. The session saw many new connections and friendships taking shape in the end.
Expert sessions by onboard faculties took place on topics important for NATA, UCEED, NIFT, and NID entrance benefitting the aspiring architecture and design aspirants. Around 70 + students attended the sessions every day gaining insight into the architecture and design field.
The festival also hosted various competitions for sketching, photography, and innovation open for all. Winning entries were awarded cash prizes and participants were given digital participation certificates.
As told by event coordinator Dr. Kajal Thakuriya, It was a rousing success. We were so grateful and touched by the way people showed up. It was a pleasure to see digital interactions and feed your mind.
The festival, which saw the participation of over 1500+ participants for the entire week, concluded with lots of new connections, new mentors, and learning at the end. Webinar panelists were awarded digital mementos and participants with participation certificates. Winning entries were awarded cash prizes.
