The Kerala MBBS Admissions to Bachelors in Medicine and Bachelors in Surgery (MBBS) offered in the government medical colleges of Kerala will be granted through NEET 2018 score. Interested Candidates have to first take the NEET medical exam and then fill the application form. There will be no entrance examination for the admission procedure. CEE, Kerala will release the merit list for all the candidates based on the NEET UG 2018 score and the nativity conditions of the candidate as well as the eligibility criteria. Kerala MBBS merit list 2018 will give the candidates a “state rank” based on his/her UG score. Besides this, the merit list will contain the candidate’s roll number, the NEET 2018 score, and NEET 2018 rank. The concerned authority will also category wise merit list apart from the common merit list. Only those candidates who are listed on the merit list will be called for counselling and seat allotment procedure.
Kerala MBBS Counselling And Admissions
Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE) Kerala will conduct the counselling for all the eligible candidates through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) which will begin from the 3rd week of July 2018. The counselling will begin after the release of state merit list. CEE Kerala will conduct the counselling for admission to the 85% state quota seats in the government medical colleges of Kerala state.
After the release of the state merit list, every candidate will have to register to enter their preferred courses and college in Kerala. CEE will then publish the result of a trial allotment before the period of online registration of options ends. This helps in giving an idea to the candidates about the college/course they are likely to be offered on the basis of priority of options entered by them in KEAM 2018 portal and change the same in case required. After the registration, candidates will not be allowed to make any changes in their choices. After this the publication of the seat allotment result of first counselling round will take place. In case there are seats vacant in the first round of counselling, the second round of counselling will take place. A window will be made available for re-adjustments of options.
All the candidates who have been allotted seats will be required to report to the respective college and complete all the formalities related to the admission procedure like payment of the tuition fees.
