IIST Admission Eligibility Criteria 2025
Applicants who wish for IIST Admission 2025 have to meet the prescribed Eligibility Criteria. Thus, only eligible candidates will proceed to fill an Application Form. The eligibility criteria will contain terms and conditions that are required for the Admission of IIST 2025. Candidates who fail to meet these criteria cannot apply for admission.
- Aspirants holding citizenship of India are eligible for the admission
- The birth date of candidates belonging to the General and OBC category must fall on or after 1st October 1994 and candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PH category must have born on or after 1st October 1989.
- Applicants must have studied Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry in class 12th or equivalent examination.
- Candidates belonging to General category must have a minimum aggregate of 75% in class 12th or qualifying examination
- Aspirants belonging to SC and ST categories must score an aggregate of 65% in the 12th standard or equivalent exam.
- The candidate must have qualified JEE Advanced 2025. Candidates belonging to the General category must obtain 72 marks out of 360 in JEE Advanced 2025 while OBC-NCL candidates must obtain 65 marks and SC/ST/Ph candidates must obtain 36 marks.
IIST Admission Application Form 2025
Applicants have to fill an Application form in order to apply for IIST Admission. Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Kerala is responsible for releasing the IIST 2025 application form. Only registered aspirants were allowed to fill the application form for of IIST B.Tech 2025. The filling of an application form requires a number of steps to be followed. These steps are mentioned below:
Step 1 – Registration
For filling the application form, candidates have to first register using their date of birth JEE Main roll number.
Step 2 – Filling of Application Form
Upon successful registration, applicants have to fill the application form with personal, academic, and communication details. These details must be valid and correct.
Step 3 – Deposition of Application Fee
After filling all the details in the Application form of IIST Admission 2025, candidates need to deposit an application fee. This fee will be deposited via online mode through SBI-Collect and it will be not refunded under any circumstance.
Step 4 – Choice Filling
Aspirants also have to fill the choices of B.Tech branches and institutes as per their preference and interest. These choices must be in order or priority. The choice filling will be necessary for every individual desiring Admission of IIST 2025.
Application Fee of IIST Admission 2025

IIST Admission Merit List/ Rank List 2025
The admission authority has published the Merit List for IIST 2025. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks secured in JEE Advanced 2025. The list will also contain the rank obtained by an applicant. If two or more aspirants obtain the same marks then the authority will take into consideration some steps to break the tie.
- Candidates having higher marks in Mathematics will be given preference in the Merit List.
- If the tie still exists then candidates having higher marks in Physics will be given the preference.
- If the tie still remains then candidates who have scored higher in JEE Main 2025 in a particular category will be given the preference.
IIST Admission Cut off 2025
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Kerala will release the IIST Cut off. This cut-off is the minimum marks required by an aspirant to be eligible for admission. Candidates who score equal to or above the released cut-off will have a higher chance of getting a B.Tech Admission of IIST 2025. The cut-off will vary according to the category of applicants and branch selected by applicants.

IIST Admission Counselling 2025
Candidates who meet the cut-off released by the admission authority will be able to participate in the process for IIST B.Tech Counselling. The authority will also release the list of shortlisted applicants in the pdf format. During the counselling, seats will be allotted based on the availability of seats, choices filled, and rank in the merit list. Candidates have to pay fees for confirming the seats, allotted to them and they also have to select the centre for verification of documents.
