Vellore Institute of Technology will be conducting an Entrance Test for Candidates who are seeking to pusue their higher degree in the programmes like MCA, M. Tech (Research)/ M.Tech/Integrated Ph.D.The VITMEE stands for Vellore Institute of Technology Master’s Entrance Examination. The Candidates who will be able to crack the Entrance can take their Admissions to the VIT Campuses in Chennai, Vellore, and Bhopal. The interested candidates have to fill up the form in the given frame of time in the online mode. The VITMEE 2018 Application form will be obtainable on the Official Website of VITMEE. The Candidates should fill up the form before the last date gets over. The commencement of the Application form this year was stated from February 22. Candidates will have time to fill up the form and until May, 21.After the successful application, they have to book their slots for the Entrance Examination. Candidates will not be issued the Admit Card without the slot booking. The Candidates then will be issued the Examination Entry Ticket without which they will not be allowed to sit for the VITMEE 2018 Entrance Examination.

VITMEE 2018 Important Dates

The candidates who will be appearing for the VIT Entrance Examination is advised to keep a track on the important dates of the Examination. They should keep a note on the dates and the updates that are notified by the Examination Authorities. The table below is a list of important dates that will help the candidates.

VITMEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates before filling up the form should check the Eligibility criteria before applying for the Entrance Examination. The Eligibility criteria are set by the Examination Authorities. If only the candidates fulfill the Examination Criteria should apply for the Examination. The Eligibility criteria differ with different college and Universities that participate. The candidates who are ineligible should not try to forge their Eligibility, such candidates will be straight away canceled.

• Candidates applying for the VITMEE 2018 should be a citizen of India. He/She should hold the valid citizenship of India.
• There will be a different tab for the Foreign Nationals. They should go for that option. International candidates should hold a valid passport.
• Candidates should hold their Last Qualifying Degree from a recognized University.
• The Candidate who wills to apply for the Examination should score minimum marks of 60 percentage.
• The candidates should carry genuine records like the Passing Certificate and Mark sheet of Class X and XII
• Candidates who are pursuing their Bachelor’s Degree and is in the final year or final semester in the current year are eligible to apply for the Examination.
• Candidates should be able to provide their last degree mark sheets before the Final Admission.
• They should complete their Final Semester/ Year Examination before the last date of The Admission.
• There will be no age criteria to apply for the candidates to apply.

VITMEE Application Form 2018

The VITMEE Application Form 2018 will be released in the Online Mode. Once the date is gone candidates will not be able to apply for it. The candidates can apply and edit the forms until the last Date ends. To apply the candidates need to visit the official website. The dates for the application form was announced on February 22 this year and the date will be closed on 21st of May. The Application forms should be only filled up after checking the Eligibility Criteria set by the Examination Authorities. If in case any ineligible candidate succeeds in filling up the form, their registration will be canceled later and their fees will not be refunded.

There is a certain procedure that the candidates should follow to apply for the VITMEE 2018.

• Visit the Official Website of VITMEE and apply it online.
• There will be a link provided on the official website for the New Applicant.
• After clicking on the link the candidates will be redirected to the registration page.
• Register by entering the Name, Gender, Date of Birth, and Email Id.
• A user Id password will be generated to the candidates in their Mobile Number
• Candidates have to log in using the Login Id and Password.
• After logging in, they have to fill up their form entering their Personal Details, Academic Details, and uploading the candidate’s Signature and Photograph.
• The last step is to pay the registration fees of the form fillup. They can pay the fee through Net Banking, Debit card, and Credit Card.

VITMEE Slot Booking 2018

Candidates have to book their slot themselves for their Examination. The VITMEE 2018 Slot booking will be Web Based. With slot booking, the candidates can select their own seats and decide their time and date for the Examinations in the given options. The slots should be booked within the given frame of time. The slot booking will be like first come and first serve basis. The candidates have to log in with the given credentials that were provided by the Examination Authorities at the time of Registration. Candidates sometimes might not get the slots according to their choice. This happens due to the unavailability of the seats due to the pre-booking of the candidates. In that case, candidates can choose their second preference. The Examination Authorities will not be responsible for change of seats. Once the candidates are done with the Slot Booking they will automatically get a confirmation mail to the candidates who have successfully booked the slots for VITMEE 2018.

VITMEE 2018 Admit Card

After the successful registration and slot booking, the candidates will be issued the Hall Ticket for their Examination. The VITMEE 2018 Hall ticket is the Entry ticket to the Examination. No candidates will be allowed to sit for the Examination without the Admit Card. Any candidate who is found without the Admit Card will be terminated on the spot. The Examination Authorities will not accept the Hall Ticket that is deformed or damaged. The candidates should keep the Admit card even after the Examination is over as it will be needed in the different stages of Examination. The Hall ticket is nontransferable to any person. The candidates will have to issue their Admit Card online. It will have the following details that the candidates should check before downloading the Admit Card. If in case there are any discrepancies the candidates should immediately inform the concerned Examination Authorities for the rectification.

Name, Registration Number, Postal Address, Photograph, Signature, Slot, Date of the Examination, Address of the Test Center, Test Schedule, Set of Instructions of the Test.

List of the VITMEE 2018 Test Centres

The Test centers are selected by the Examination Authorities in accordance to the number of candidates. The Examination centres are will be set with the preferences of the candidates and the availability of the Seats

VITMEE 2018 Exam Pattern

The Examination date for VITMEE 2018 is being announced and it will be held on June 2 and 3 of this year. Candidates appearing for this Examination should follow the Examination Pattern that will be officially followed. Knowing the Examination Pattern means knowing the Examination Mode, the marking Scheme, the syllabus, type of Questions and the duration of the Examination. This VITMEE 2018 Entrance Examination will be Computer based. Candidates appearing for the examination should have the minimum knowledge of the computer. At least the candidates should be familiar with the handling of the mouse and the keyboard. The Examination in charge will not be responsible for the candidates without the computer knowledge in the Examination.

The candidates will be asked 100 questions in total.Each Question will carry 1 mark each. There will be no Negative Marking so no marks will be deducted in wrong Answers. The candidates are free to attempt every question. The question paper will only be set in the English language. Candidates will be given 120 minutes or 2 hours to solve the question papers. The questions which will be asked is Multiple Choice Questions. They will be given four choices for each question and the candidates have to choose their right answer for each question.

The Technical Subjects are Chemical Engineering, Civil engineering, Nano Technology, Chemistry, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, computer and Communication Engineering, computer Science and Information Technology, Life Sciences, Mechanical engineering, Pharmacy, Physics, Mathematics, Master of Computer Application and Bio medical Engineering.

VITMEE 2018 Result

The VITMEE Result 2018 will be out by the Second week of June. Candidates have to access to the official website for that. The result will not be sent to the candidates by post, faxes or Via E-mail. The candidates first have to log in to download the VITMEE 2018 Results. They will log in with their credentials like Roll Number and Date of Birth. The candidates with greater marks than cutoffs or scoring minimum cutoffs will be called for the counselling. There are certain procedures which the candidates need to follow while availing the results. The results will not be out for those candidates who did not appear for the Examination or was terminated on illegal grounds like cheating during the VITMEE 2018 Examination or failure to show the Hall ticket to the Candidates.

The candidates first have to visit the VITMEE 2018 official website and then have to click on the link which will redirect them to the result page. The candidates have to enter the important credential like roll Number and date of Birth. After entering the information in the designated fields the candidates have to submit the information. Once the result is displayed on the screen the candidates have to download and take out printed copies of it. It will be better for the candidates if they have more than two copies with them. It might be needed for the Further Assistance.

The candidates are requested to check all the details that will be printed on the VITMEE 2018 Admit Card. In case of any discrepancies the candidates are requested to inform the Director of the Examination about the discrepancy.

VITMEE 2018 Counselling

The VITMEE 2018 Counselling will be held for those students who will be selected in the Merit List. The candidates will be called upon their merits in the VITMEE 2018 Examination. Counseling is held after a few days of the results. Candidates have to be there in the counseling physically. They have to be present there in person. The counselling will not be successful if the candidates send a substitute in place of him/her. Any candidate who will be absent on the day of counseling will not be selected. Their seat will be given to the next deserving candidate. Candidates will be sent a confirmation message to their registered mobile number about counseling and interview process. The counseling fee that will be given is non-refundable. The counseling fee, however, will be adjusted with the main tuition fees. If in any case, the candidates could not pay the Fees before the due date. Their name will be canceled from the Admission list.

Candidates are expected to submit valid documents at the time of counseling. Any candidates who fail to submit the documents will be straight away canceled.They should carry their original documents along with the xerox copies. The documents are as: Hall Ticket, Class X and XII certificate and Mark sheet, Mark sheet of the Qualifying semesters, Migration or the transfer certificate, GATE scorecard, Caste certificate for any categories other than the General and OC and finally the demand draft.
